Hey Alex.
I was at St Pancras International the other day. In the main hall there is a battered old piano with the words "play Me" painted on it.
A passer by sat down, tinkled a few keys and then got up again. I shouted for more and he obliged me by playing a ragtime piece.
I videoed it with my phone. If I send you the file, will you upload it to Youtube for me please? You could also let us know what you think of his playing.
This reminded me of the "Play Me I'm Yours" Street project.

this was an interesting social experiment involving Joshua Bell the famous violinist, slightly off topic but some of you may find it interesting.

Good experiment that, and the article is well worth a read.

yes email it to me I will try me best.
@boshi: you've no idea how hard that is to play on the violin, let alone sing at the same time. He's playing on like three strings at the same time, like its a frigging guitar. Having done grade 8 violin (thin) I can tell you that's considerably harder. awesome stuff!

He's incredible - Lyndsey plays the violin too, and is in awe of him. She fancies him too obviously, which is fair enough I guess.
Here's another violin player who I love, Ed Alleyne-Johnson. He played with my favourite band, New Model Army on a couple of albums and toured with them for a few years. But he's a but of a recluse, and although he has a few albums likes to go out busking on his home-made 5-string violin that produces a very distinctive 'Ed' sound.

That article sickens me
I guess I'd be just as guilty of not noticing a Picasso if it was hanging in the toilets in a restaurant.

Even if the restaurant were Picasso in the Bellagio?

To be fair, I think I'd be able to play like that if Tom was shouting at me to play more!
