My brief experience with south florida poker is that the games were a lot better than Vegas. Vegas games ebb and flow in their availability and softness depending on out of town traffic, of course there are a bunch of regs there but the out of towners make the games.

If I were going to grind cash for that long in vegas, I would spend a decent amount of that time in LA, which has a massive selection of good action at 2/5+.

Fair enough I haven't spent much time in Vegas.  In that case though wouldn't it be better for Alex to simply spend 3 months in Florida?  It is a better place for a young guy like him than Vegas I would have thought with the beaches, women etc and not as long a flight etc.  i might be biased but seems a much better option for this trip that Alex doesn't even want to take!!!!

Live somewhere where you love living, I love Leeds wouldn't live anywhere else, there isn't round the clock poker action there any more, in fact if we get two good games a week in leeds then I count it as a terrific week. But take 3 or 4 long trips away each year - the summer in LV obviously a no brainer (although going to make that trip shorter next year) L.A and then Vegas for 6 weeks in Feb/March and then Vegas again at the end of the year, gives me ~18-22 weeks of the year abroad where the emphasis really is on playing lots of poker in good/bigger games. Going to consider Macau next year for a couple of 3 week periods.

I think this is better than living there for 6 months, you'll get lonely and leave yourself seriously venerable to degen'ing off when there for that much time, you soon make some mates over there as well and it s a lot of fun, plus you can reasonably expect to make a nice amount if things don't go horribly as well.

I agree, but I'm more a fan of what I've done this year - about one trip/month (been to 9 different countries this year!) with a long one in Vegas for the summer and Prague pre christmas. That way there's always something pretty close to look forward to and you're never away from home for too long. Living for the weekends of live poker in nottingham/ around UK and just grinding online during the week trying to stay sane

My problem at the moment is how often I can afford to go to Estonia! My last trip cost 1000euros. (300 flight, 400 hotel, 300 food and expenses out there). I obviously can't afford this every two weeks.

I could cut down expenses there by
a) booking more than a week in advance
b) staying in a <4star hotel
c) not going out to fancy restaurants every night.

I'm going to sell my iPad 2 on ebay. I rarely use it and now I have an iphone it just seems pointless. I'm not trying to sell it on here by the way, I have a genuine question about ebay as I've never really used it!

I have 9months left on the 3G contract @ £30/month which I will have to pay regardless. Therefore whoever buys in will have use of that 3G and it's obviously worth up to £270. But I guess they'll have to trust that I will continue to pay this contract. How should I phrase this situation in the OP?

Of course you can say it's for sale on here. We don't allow randoms to sign up and peddle their stuff, but long-term members who are international play-boys can advertise their ipads no problem.
