Ok will try and dissect Jason's post one bit at a time. It's taken several readings to try and understand what he's saying and still about half of it has totally whooshed me.
Quote
The first being the posts about the Donny lads. These lads used to play a local game and a Dtd customer was devestated when these lads started going to Dtd. He thought his golden goose (and it was golden as most of his house had been paid for by these guys) was dead because he feared that they would not be seen at the pool hall again. Fast forward 6 months and after a few posts in this diary and a particular incident at the club, our mate is once again giq in Donny and you don't often see him in Dtd these days.
So you're saying there's a guy who used to play with the donny lads who was then pissed off when the donny lads started coming to DTD? But this guy is a DTD customer you say? Now said donny lads don't come to DTD anymore? Is this what you're saying? And you're saying that it's because of a few posts on this diary and a particular incident at the club?
Well what am I supposed to say that? Maybe if you're more specific and give some actual examples of posts or incidents then we can have a discussion about it, otherwise it just looks like random BS and I've no idea what to make of it. I had a good relationship with them and we always had a laugh when we played together, and I certainly was real sensitive about writing about those games on here. Really don't know what you're on about.
Quote
2nd incident is where team Eureka members are playing in a cash game with a guy who in 17 sessions had lost between £1k-£2k 14 times. Lol I remember asking Mitch how he was doing, knowing full well, and Mitch said something like "oh he's doing ok and holding his own". Well either Alex, Tom High or PeeJay started slagging off someone who was not at he table. Unknown to team Eureks this whale had a close relationship with the guy. Hence the whale won't take his mate getting slagged off so obviously tells the boys what he thinks and then has not played since. He still plays cash but donates his grand in the £1/£1 games. Flushthemout may have witnessed some of his creativity last night having straddled them jammed his stack all in pre with 4 high just because we were leaving.
Again no idea what or who you're talking about, but if you go up to Mitch or me or anyone with any kind of brain and ask them "how x is getting on" when you know x has been knocking it in, obviously we're not going to say "yeh he's been doing chunks" when we don't know them. It would be way more out of line to start saying to you (effectively a random) "oh x has dropped about 20k to us over the last few weeks", than to not discuss any figures and just be polite to you.
Quote
And the third most recent was another mate turns up to play Rob H/u and Robs busy. He sits down with Alex and gives him a couple of grand. Next thing Alex is calling him "a good loser" and as was pointed out to me "show me a good loser and I will show you a loser" so the guy may have got the hump thinking Alex is calling him a loser.
Now I know that you're totally on the wind up, you sick sick man. I've spoken to this guy this very morning about this, and he had no idea that I'd posted that and although calling him a "classy loser" may be misunderstood, and I agree it wasn't the best choice of phrase, but it's pretty obvious that I'm giving him a compliment saying he took the beats and coolers with class and grace and that was really nice to see. So coming here and telling me that he's "got the hump" when he hasn't even read the comment or had any idea what I was talking about when I brought it up just shows how full of shit you are.

Oh that feels better. I might even start a diary. "The bollocks spouted by smashedagain"
Jason, you know I do have plenty of time for you, but that post would fit aptly into the "bollocks spouted" diary.
You have what feels to me with an obsession with the politics of these cash games without fully understanding them. I always read posts of yours saying "X paying Alex's rent" "Y bought Z his house" etc and the tone of them always suggests that the person who has won is some sort of ungrateful leech, and the person who lost doesn't realise that he's been doing his money to a certain person.
It's important for you to remember that people like to play cash games, and if you wanna play a decent sized cash game, and gamble a bit higher then you NEED pro poker players, because the recreational player pool IS not big enough to cater for their own needs, the costs of this is that you will very likely over a decent sample of time lose your money to them. Only other options are 1) not to play, or 2) build a game with entirely recreational players which most(nearly all) people dont have resources or contacts to do.
This isn't just poker either, has anyone noticed that the 3 guys who own PaddyPower are worth fucking millions? I've lost a pretty hefty sum lifetime on paddypower, I prolly paid for one of their holidays last year, do I care? NO. I knew when I played against them they had the edge but i want to gamble and they gave me the platform, I inevitably lost, but I could have won.
I mean i think you're prolly right in saying that Alex over-shared on his diary, but I agree with him that the information he shared was done so pretty delicately (although prolly wasnt worth the risk) but the way you interfere and drag things up that AREN'T problems but could become ones if you keep stirring is far more destructive. Like this nonsense over the donny lads (I've spoken to Stretch and Terry about it in person and you're not quite accurate) or the guy who played Alex HU. Really dont know why you do this either, cos seems like idle trouble-making from the outside.
Thanks for the kind words (about me) though

No idea, but you are certainly meddling and interfering in stuff that has got nothing to do with you, notably a post that was deleted off here. Jumping to conclusions, making inferences and generally spouting off.
Any chance you could stop, please?

Hey Dave. Not wanting to put sugar coat too much but now that Alex is having to travel for his game a little more he is going to encounter a new pool of players. Lets not hide the fact that most cash games involve , let's say some players whose income might not entirely legal. The guys I speak of are quiet lads who just happen to have till. Now Alex shows at worst naievity in some of posts on here and I just feel that at times he is not being too street wise.
And once again he spits the dummy out at the smallest bit of criticism.
No hard feelings to him tho.

see if you did not delete stuff people would not get confused. I thought keys had a joke at Alex, Fraser may or may not have got the wrong end of the stick and had a go at keys. Thats all that i saw deleted, hardly anything serious or criminal. of there was anything else i missed then i'm not aware of it. No harm done not on here 24/7 as am crushing candy ATM.

Think it's worse to say people's income is not legal, than it is to say someone is a good loser. Particularly on a forum!

I think it's really really crucial this stuff ISN'T discussed on a public board Jason, statements like...

Really need not to be said, for everyone's benefit.
I've had conversations with Alex on a similar tact as this one but me and him have importantly had them in private - not just in that direction either, Alex has been able to offer me advice on these issues as well, so I think he understands the social, and professional dynamic of these situations way better than you think, but he obviously doesn't post on here explaining exactly how.

Was pretty high criticism tbh, "slightest criticism would be like "I didn't really like the way you played that QJ hand alex, feel like calling the turn is way better than raising" I certainly don't blame Alex for getting tilted at that post.

yeah correct. Don't really wanna go down that path either but its a fact that most casino cater for these types who wanna play a grand a hand at bj etc. a fair bit of this dough finds its way into the cash games too and not something often spoke of.
Yeah you are right Dave.

yeah correct. I don't know what is the problem between the two of em. Both decent guys who felt the need to post on here and you guys deleted it. Am sure you have legitimate reasons.
Usually had an email by now. Is it not working?
Stupid game only gives you one life an hour and the stigma of actually asking people to send me life is holding me back a bit. I ain't found anything quite as addictive since Temple Run. Well except Blonde of course.

Not a lot of point Jason, it doesn't change the way you post and the problems you cause.

Where people get their money from to gamble with really is entirely their own business. If the casino's and bookies (who by the definition of bad leechy gamblers are 30x worse than any poker player) don't feel the need to police the source of their players incomes then neither do poker players in cash games, imo.
