EVERYBODY'S BROKE! Click to see full-size image. |

Yesterday was a hilarious day.
DTD Degens are in dire straights in the top division and need to string a few wins together to stay up. Cue, star man Simon Deadman making the trip from Leeds for our two games last night. It's a bit cold to rail 2 games these days, so I headed down for the last half hour to see how the boys were doing.
I arrived to find PJ on the ground with an apparent BROKEN LEG! He said he heard it break after a tackle and was in a lot of pain, despite being able to crack a smile and still being his normal jovial self.
The ambulance turned up and I followed him to the hospital to keep him company. Sadly the medics didn't think it enough of an emergency to put the sirens on and drive fast - pretty disappointed I didn't get to live out my dream of driving really fast behind an ambulance.
Anyway, we get there he goes in for an xray and it turns out it's not broken and they think it's torn ligaments. He's on crutches now anyway, but OK.
Next up - Mitch. He's off to Dublin with Stato tomorrow and as a result of something that happened in the football after PJ's injury - can't walk apparently and Stato is going to have to push him around in a wheelchair

Lastly, yours truly. My first session at the gym in 4 years has left me a broken man, woken up with aches all over and arms that just CAN'T EXTEND! They are stuck at right angles lol. Soooo painful.
Also got very drunk last night at DTD with Melissa and made a massive tit out of myself. Just to clear a few things up - NO I was NOT SICK at DTD or anywhere and NO Melissa and I did NOT drink the same quantities. She didn't like the white wine, so she only had a few sips out of that bottle and I drank the rest, and then we shared a bottle of Rose, plus I had one more shot than her. I am a lightweight yes, but my state last night was reasonably justified....
Was hilarious evening though. Also won a chunk in a rare midweek 1/2 game which was nice
