DAY ONEVegas does strange things to everyone. You do things you'd never expect to do, would never normally do and can't quite believe it when you think about it afterwards. We haven't been here 12 hours yet and already I'd done something I never thought I'd ever do.
I got up at 5am and went for a run.
Lovely time to be up and about. The air is cool but warm, light breeze, everyone asleep, yet you know in all those huge casinos, there's thousands of people still inside gambling away to their hearts content...
Sorry that wasn't a hugely degen story like you wanted - there'll be plenty to come by the looks of things!
I'm sharing with stato, who is snoring like a train, and I've slept about 4 hours, waking up 4/5 times in that period. Pretty annoying, I think its mainly the jetlag though - once I get into a routine I shouldn't have trouble sleeping through it...
Cliffs so far
- Stato paid £350 on the flight to upgrade to premium economy because he needed a larger seat.
- Mitch and Keith argued on the flight more or less non stop.
- I watched a film called "Flight" which was about a plane crash, and then we had by far the worst landing I've ever experienced - it was so awful, huge turbulence for 15 minutes and I was genuinely scared for the first time I can remember on a plane. Stato is afraid of flying and spent 15 minutes grabbing the seat in front of him for dear life apparently

- Checked in, first port of call , surprise surprise, FOOD. Destiniation: La Cave, Wynn. Seriously good Spanish tapas place. Ate there several times last year. It's about $50/head and is absolutely delicious. I lost the flip sigh, but have ran deece at chinese so a breakeven start.

- Faffed around for a bit trying to get some local phones sorted. Was about 9pm at this point, Keith and Stato went to the Rio to reg for todays 3k, Mitch and I went to the Venetian and played some 2/5 to get through to about 10pm when crashed out. Both won bowls. Pretty excited by the live Open Face Chinese that is going on this year. Dealer dealt, seen games from $2/point to $1k a point!
-Had a sweat with Ryan Spittles, have 5% of his WSOP Package and he came 25th in a huge field $1500 for $15k. Half a milli up top though!
Will update as often as I can, with a little feature to depict how everyone is doing...this is all inclusive - poker obviously plays the biggest part, but includes all gambling of any kind.
