Best of luck Alex, nothing like a shot at half a milly to make you feel better.

Managed just a mincash in the 1500 which was alright, I never really got going on day two. Good to hit the ground running and get an early flag Smiley

Didn't play for the rest of the day, we moved into our suite at Palms Place which I LOVE. Aside from 5 nights in the Wynn, I've always stayed at pretty budget places in Vegas so this is a very welcome change. We have a 31st floor strip view, two large flatscreen TVs, kitchen, huge bathroom etc - it's great. Also the 6th floor (!) pool area is really sick, it has nice restaurants (one by the pool has half price food 3-6pm) a gym and spa all included.

Might be a blessing and a curse because staying in bowl places always encourages grinding, whereas here I'm always actually looking forward to getting back to the apartment and won't mind busting comps early so I can spend the day by the pool! My motivation and grind ethic definitely needs to improve. I still feel like I'm on holiday a bit. It needs to stop!

After I post this I'm going to hit the gym and then play a 1k at noon, and hopefully keep that routine for as many days as possible for this trip. Before you scoff, I actually did this in Macau for 2 months, so I do have it in me! I found it really helped not just my phyiscal condition, but helped me mentally keep focus during sessions, able to play longer sessions and just generally be more zen at the tables. So that's the plan...

After I busted the comp on Sunday we ate Tapas at Julian Serrano in Aria which was amazing - I was just recovering from my tonsillitis/fever at that point so couldn't eat much unfortunately (my appetite still hasn't recovered now actually) but enjoyed the company of Fred, Nick, Jack and Stato and the night degenerated into playing craps to get some free cocktails, then we found out it was considerably cheaper to order them at a bar and not play craps Cheesy I'm not playing house games this trip barely at all, so trying to avoid nights like these where possible but it's what our group want to do so it's hard.

It turned into a great night out we met Sin, Laura (Cornelius) and my old friend Barny Boatman...For those that haven't seen the Sky UKPC, or the now viral video on youtube - Barny and I had a bit of a run-in as he knocked me out of that tournament - the "ghost" handshake incident...Here's how sunday nights showdown went down...

You'd think I could've seen that coming but I was so drunk that I literally had no idea and was completly shocked! What a hero!

Yesterday I chilled during the day, slept off the previous nights boozing had a lovely hour by the pool at around 4/5pm where the sun isn't too strong, and played the late flight of the 1k at the Venetian. Unfortunately had two bullets and bust around 1am which wasn't so fun but I'll give it another go today and hopefully do better!

I've a feeling this trip is gonna be the best Vegas trip yet.

Had a 3rd bullet at this Venetian 1k, which has got an amazing 1008 runners. It was one of those thoroughly miserable days of tournament poker but luckily it ended well! I was short from the start, grinded 10 hours with no cards and no spots, but survived when it counted, getting lucky twice.

Made day two with 30bbs, Stato and SWarbs made it too. Restarts in a couple hours.

Went for a meal at Lemongrass in Aria which I lost the flip for sighh. Then we did a 10way craps synicate for $100 a man and lost it all before a waitress even got round. Then there was a roulette syndicate which only a few did (not me) and they also lost it all before their drinks arrived. As a result morale was pretty low and cos we had day two, we left them to it, hopefully they all got out of it and had a good one!

OK, lets win this $183k...

No link, the clip is a video posted to my fb wall so can't share here. Would have to watch the episode or find it on youtube.

Here's a screenshot that gives you an idea. 6/7 seconds of this, then I give up and go home Cheesy

Came 28th/1008 in the Venetian...

Mixed emotions - I was allin and at risk so many times during the tournament and sucked out twice to survive, and held the 4/5 other times, so I was very lucky to have made it so far. But the bust out was a nasty JJ<99 for a 45bb stack which would've be SO useful on my table. 9 on the flop killed my dreams of 180k...#equitybeat

Nice to get a second cash though and feel I'm gaining momentum, heading towards a big result soon. Confidence high, been experimenting with tons of limping recently and feel it's having the desired results and it's a really handy tool to have in the locker in certain situations.

Pretty gross moment earlier - I put a nasty beat on my good friend and roommate Stato_1, with 50 odd left, we got it in for 20bbs each my AJ vs his AQ, and I got there to cripple him down to fumes. Feel like that's definitely the biggest equity pot I've played with a mate, it wasn't a nice experience at all tbh, I couldn't look at him for 10 minutes afterwards. Then it was smiles and laughs again...Luckily I've back at the apartment now and my stuff hasn't been launched off the balcony Cheesy

Like a true pro, I went straight from the Venetian cash desk to the Rio, to spend over an hour queuing up to register for tomorrows monster stack. It's got 3k runners already pre-regged! Gonna be ridiculous!

Early night now so I can get up at 8 and hit the gym and spa. What is going on?! Cheesy

Gym and spa is my plan also, but alarm is set for 11 just in case I sleep in! Which is more than likely
