Tikay you do like to make me blush. <1% of my tweets are complaining about anything. I'm a happy tweeter. But it did rather shock me the other day.
At the airport now, so psyched for this trip!

Cliffs of first 24 hours in Prague.
- Check into apartment - very happy with it.
- Meet Thigh, go for traditional czech dinner - beef and dumplings and local beer. Morale is sky high.
- Then disaster strikes - I start playing poker! 2/5 Cash game, I c/r flop with 66 on AK6ccx in a 3bet pot and shove for pot on a club turn, lose to 45cc. Down 1k. I have 33 vs AK on a AK3K board, lose another 500 there. Run QQ into KK, only lost a bit there. Recovered a bit but still a bad start.
- WPTN €2k Day 1a today. A bad start gets worse - I'm out in level 3. I was so looking forward to this tournament and said it's probably the best value comp ROI wise of the trip. I was really well prepared physically mentally but still made some pretty poor decisions early on and also had some bad luck with a few medium sized pots and got left with about 11k at 75/150/25. Man opens utg 700, I have KK make it 1900, he sets me in for 10600, I call. We're safe till the river...
Still a chance to re-enter tomorrow so will do that and hopefully play and run better. Stato arriving tonight, Ben and Scott arrive tomorrow.

I might be wrong but I think we play pretty optimally. It's hard to be that good though, I would imagine everyone playing that level will play pretty perfect. Maybe tony gs mates will have leaks I dunno. I'm not gonna pay 10k to find out though!

Not quite in the Goulder vs Boatman stakes and I hadnt even knocked him out or vica versa but was still blanked
I even smirk at the end as Barnygate was the first thing that came into my head at that moment.

Ah there was definitely nothing malicious in it as I have known Danny for years from old Luton days but I remember in game him getting Ko'd and from my lips me saying "Unlucky Danny", "Nice playing with you" and offering my hand and then he didnt go for it or didnt see it and as we were down to the last 3 tables at this stage the camera's were there for every all in and knock out so in my head whilst I am waiting there for the hand shake I was thinking of Alex and Barny's shake (or lack of) hence the smirk on my face and was hoping it wouldnt appear on telly.
But it did!
100% Danny definitely didnt see it and was just in that world mentally when you have just bust and want to be away from the area.

You, my son, had NO CHANCE.
Once I saw he rushes, I told them you MUST keep that in.
Oh yes.
Anyway, you did say you hoped you'd feature in the TV coverage......

If only that was the most famous hand shake snub of 2014!
Made me chuckle though! These things happen!
Day 1b today.
Played cash last night in pretty decent 2/5 game. Lost a big pot with AQdd on an AKxx two diamond board where the guy bet 250 on the turn which I had to call and then when the river bricked he bet 300 which was a genius sizing as I fold to any bigger but should've still folded anyway but made the crying call knowing I was beat
Then lost KK vs AK all in pre for 650 each. Found myself in a big hole again but luckily grinded it all back with 4/5 medium sized pots and won a massive €75! Felt great though.
Stato arrived yesterday with deadman and shola. Ben Dobson and Fat Scott arrive today. Gonna be such a fun trip I can tell even if we all do our bollocks!

Oh I see.
My best handshake moment was when I got knocked out of the Midlands Meltdown a few years back. I offered my hand to the bloke and he shook it briefly before trying to pull away.
I hung on for a few moments, congratulating him and wishing him well, until he told me that I had hit a backdoor straight and knocked him out, and would I be so kind as to let go so that he could leave...
