U backing anyone we know? GL with it Alex. Enjoyed playing cash with you and the other fish on a rare occasion
No, he's a young lad who I met through gala/dtd. Really impressed with his attitude towards the game. He just thinks about things the right way, doesn't have an ego, is very patient and disciplined. He's put a lot of time in online learning more about the game and is really keen to get even better.
Maybe splitting your liability down the middle with someone if you're doing it as a trial rather than to make any serious money?
hmmm can't think of many that know him and how he plays that are in a position to do that. maybe one person. good idea though.
haha wasn't thinking of you actually. and its probs not who you think it is fwiw...

OK, time for a bit of controversy.
I've been meaning to broach this subject on here for a while and I think it's time because I need some advice.
People keep going on at me about this so I've given in and am telling you all.
I don't cook. I just eat ready meals. They're lovely and tasty and easy and cheap and quick and yummy and easy and delicious. No hassle involved like with cooking. I find cooking really tedious and unless I'm doing something basic I always manage to cock something up. Even with the basic stuff I'm just too lazy to bother most of the time when ready meals are such an easy alternative.
However, I'm worried about my health long term if this continues and I'm thinking about changing. How bad for you are they?
I get the decent ones from sainsburys or tescos, none of the basics shit. Penne Arribiata, Chicken Bacon Pasta Bake. Ham and Mushroom Tagliatelle. Penne Bolognese. Chicken Jafrezi. Lamb Korma. Chicken Tikka Massala. That sort of thing. Basically just Italian and Indian. They cost about 1.50-2.50 each. 3 for £5 sometimes. So a weeks worth for about £12.
I have a large bowl of cereal in the morning (1pm), a pie/pastry/sandwhich 5pm, and one of these ready meals at 8. I eat out probably twice a week on average as well, and always try to eat something reasonably healthy then. Little or no fruit and veg though
this is bad i know. Sometimes I skip the middle meal and just have a snack to get me through to dinner if there's nothing in the house.
What are the long term affects if any of this diet and how bad is it?

The main differences between a eating a microwave dinner and cooking the equivalent meal with fresh ingredients are the levels of sodium and saturated fat. As with any kind of food, this is fine in moderation, but I would suggest that if this is your main source of nutrition you should think about changing your diet. The dishes that you've mentioned are cheap and easy to make and you can find the recipes online. Will obviously take longer to prepare, but you will immediately notice how much better the food tastes, and you will find it's very similar in price to keep these ingredients around the house.
The same applies with pastries; these are loaded with salt and fat, but they're fine occasionally. Store prepared sandwiches are normally fine, though. I've seen your taste in cereal, and nothing needs to change there. Cereals and grains are a good source of fibre, and they're good at keeping you full for a long time. Would definitely think about incorporating fresh fruit into your diet. Again, basic fruit is super cheap and requires no preparation. Just grab an apple and nom it down. 18 pence well spent imo. Will keep you fuller than say a Mars Bar, and infinitely better for you.
Most obvious long term effect of an unbalanced diet of any kind is malnourishment. If you're eating a bunch of salt and fat instead of fresh fruit and vegetables, though: obesity, heart problems, depression, etc.
Also how much water do you drink?

Learn to cook properly, you might start to enjoy it. Its ridiculous how retarded most young kids who play poker are when it comes to cooking, unable to boil an egg, fry a sausage- stuff anyone with an iq above 40 knows how to do- coming from an affluent background such as yourself there is no real excuse as you have probably eaten well and have a decent base knowledge of ingredients and flavours
Spend some money and take the missus with you for a cooking course at a decent restaurant. Try something specific rather than generic so you have a skillset rather than just 3 courses

Doesnt have to be anything fancy- its a good date idea anyway, can be relaxed and informal and more of a group participation thing, but will help with some basics and give you more of a passion for cooking
