Woke up this morning nice and refreshed, enjoyed reading the blog and felt ready for more pain. And pain is what was I got.
Played the best I've played in a while tonight, which I'm really pleased about and didn't tilt off at all. Made 3 really disciplined folds which I'm happy about. AA once to Mitch on 679T then AA again on 346cc where I got checkraised. Then QQ on 345, mitch donked, I called, ajit called behind, mitch fired 8 turn I folded.
The first one to Mitch was a bad fold apparently but pretty hard for me to continue in the hand on that board when he pots the turn for 165. The other two were fairly standard folds, but super hard to do when you're losing chunks and could easily excuse getting it in, hoping they were on draws or whatever. Both said they had sets. After the week I've had, folding all three took a lot of inner strength!
Lost 3 huge pots as well.
1) Paid off Ajit with Q9 on T6369 when he shoved the river and was massively polarised to tens full or quads, felt there was a decent enough chance I'd be good, but he had the TT.
2) Got 900 in on the flop of
with
I won't say what villain had because I wanna pha it.
3) Got in about 750 on the turn with
vs QJ on J935 couldn't fade the 8 outer, that one was a big sigh, called it a night after that.
In the interest of balance, I'll mention two big pots I won. Got 500 in pre with AK vs Terry, came K high I was good, dunno what he had. Called 375 on the river with 88 on K5335 and was good.
Down 2.1k for the night, pretty gutted, but have felt worse this week at times, so I guess we're going in the right direction, sort of...
