6max comp at dtd tonight has 114 runners with 2k up top. Is by far the best weekday comp around imo. Would be a nice one to run good in.
Gets a bit irritating having to change tables every three hands as the exits accelerate though. Can't be avoided obviously, but, jus' saying.
Running deep blatant brag post imo.

You always find something to grumble at david! Sure am still in boshi. Outlasted stato who was out in 5mins, and milligan not long after though...

Good session. Well good moneywise, really didn't enjoy it which is worrying. I was completely uninterested in the games, constantly on my phone looking for distractions. Hope this is just a blip. The 50/1 games were just so small and boring, but grinded it out for a while. Managed to hold somehow with AJ vs Milligans T9cc on JT8cc for a buyin then after a while decided to go to gala and find some better action.
Had quite an interesting spot with
, Can't remember ever taking such a long time to come to decision as I did in this hand. Hijack opens to 4 over a limp, CO flats, I 3bet the button to 19 with AK, only the raiser calls.
, he checks I bet £21, he snap shoves for £160 effective. I really thought the only thing he'd snap shove with was a flush draw, but I'd never played with him before and he's never played with me before. I thought he'd have to give it some thought with 88 or 99, but i am always 25% vs them if im wrong, but not exactly crushing a FD either. Anyway I thought about it for ages and ages and called. I still don't know whether it's a good call, but I was correct, and even though his
binked a pair on the turn I rivered an ace to scoop the £400 pot
Was really happy to have not let my recent downswing affect me in a making a big call for a relatively large amount of money. Also happy to hold - am running good!
Gala was running a DC game so played that for a bit for jokes - sat with 50, managed luckbox a treble up in superstud with AA2, aces holding to scoop a £150 pot which was fun. +340 for the day is a great result of course, but worried by a few things atm.

Yea nice hold man. Wasn't sure if you knew it was me so didn't chat much. Plus you were balls deep in ya phone. Absolute terrible night for me.. Twice in cash i put it in on an open ended straight flush draw with second pair off the flop, twice i missed... then in the tourney i get it in with A9 on an AQA flop against A2 and still lose.... Massive Sigh. Run worse imo. Online grind + bbq today. probs see you on Sat for some more donations...

btw anyone tanking going to see the new fast and furious - do it - its awesome.
also, have just watched the final monte carlo episode. think its absolutely ridiculous the commentary about mondatoo. aside from the fact that mond would abs crush both the commentators in any form of poker, i think its at best unprofessional and at worst plain rude that they have no idea of ray's ability and just constantly make ridiculous patronising comments just because he hasn't played much live poker. /rant
also mond.....run better ffs!!!

I watched this last night and totally agree. So much comedy in the episode, in a bad way!

It's because you've been playing a lot online in my opinion. Whenever I play live after playing online, I'm always a bit bored and fidgety, because you just don't get as much mental stimulation (as many decisions per second) as you do online, at least until you get back into the rhythm of live.
This is x2 at Gala where the hand rate on the cash tables is
so slow

Getting bored live is certainly something I have experienced after getting used to grinding online, it's why I hardly ever bother playing live anymore, once every 3-4 months I start to think I'm missing something, sure am. I do enjoy playing the Monte Carlo's ( obv
) and will try to play the odd UKIPT but apart from that I'd rather just play online. Congrats on the good day.
PS Cheers.
