Alex managed to stack me last night with his KK v my K7 on a K737x board. Mbn, fml, aialb.
Took me the rest of the night to get out of my £175 hole, and I finished a massive £6 in profit for the day. Had a good laugh with Alex and Lee (aka Dara O'Briain), but the standard of play by lots at the .50/1st game is getting worse imo, and it's definitely a case of patience and trying not to out-think yourself and make any clever plays (not that I can of course).

Haha, you should have just got up from the table a hand earlier...
I think it is easy to 'overplay' the game on the .50/1 tables at times. There's certainly less reason to balance your range, or to mix things up as much as many of the players won't remember that you raised from UTG with 64-sooted 5 orbits ago. They're usually too busy moaning about their bad beats or asking where the valets are with their drinks.

minutes to learn a life time to master dave. and kinboshi is 100% correct. watch when you show a hand and someone says what did he show and the rest of the table sit there we a dumb look all over their chevy chase. i always say aces and they all chime in unison " yes thought so"

this is all true stuff. they're always wondering where the valets are.
for anyone interested in how my 11hour session went yesterday the cliffs are:
Grinded hard for 11 hours spending most of the time between 40 and 80 pound up fml
Got 150bbs in with AQ vs AK aip in a weird spot and somehow didn't get there to become stuck
Ridic coolered boshi to get out of it and winning 100
Last hand of the night got some guy allin on the turn with 10%equity for £200 pot and got rivered.
SIGH FML up £25!
