2 pair and 2 pair.  Classic Only fools and Horses - I thought you didnt have a telly growing up?

My advice is don't slowroll scumbags as they might smash your face in - best to do it to weak looking obnoxious internet kids or well dressed old ladies.

lol Giblin slowrolled me for an $1800 pot on the first night of my first trip to Vegas. He's the only person it's acceptable to do it to and Mitch obv but that goes without saying.

I don't really believe in all this karma nonsense, but I do believe in treating others how they treat you. I'll admit to something I did in a 50/1 game at Gala a few weeks ago. There's a guy at the table who I really dislike. He is a nasty piece of work, he's aggressive (not in poker), rude and has no etiquette round the table. He slowrolls people a lot, and a few hours before slowrolled Stato in a big pot.

When I had  two hearts Two Diamonds on  two spades Two Clubs this gentlemen moved allin on the river for about £75 in to a fairly big pot. I ummmed and ahhed for a while (there was a player behind so I was half trying to get him to overcall) and then called. The other guy folded and villain announced "flush". I took this opportunity to give him a taste of his own medicine and slowroll him back. I said "you;re good I have two pair......................deuces and deuces!".

I know it's petty but it was hilarious and definitely felt deserved. I can't remember ever slowrolling anyone before (except mates ldo) but vs this guy, I didn't feel bad in the slightest. There, I said it. Shoot me.

watch too much Only fools and horses imo.

never seen it really....

wtf? What, with this confession, and the earlier one in the thread about having not seen Shawshank. I think i'm going off you.

Sort yourself out ffs.

I don't really have much of a defense here. I was very tired, wasn't having a good night, and a little tilted (not least by some of the things that were being said by the idiot in seat 9 who had the lot.) I don't know how I managed to get myself into this mindset, but as soon as the board paired the river, I just expected the worst. So when he said "queen ten," I just heard "queen" and automatically assumed I'd been counterfeited. Even after he showed, it took me a few seconds to get my head together.

JK is absolutely right when he says the dealers there aren't the quickest; but the dealer in question did say the same thing as JK, just after the hand. Something to the tune of "when you said you had the best hand until the river, and he tabled QT, I was going to turn your hand over in suspicion."

Obviously it is up to players at the table to spot a mistake. It's not really bad etiquette, and clearly the guy was just fuming because he was having a bad night struggling to break even. What's really sick is that I could see the confusion on the faces of a couple of players who were definitely about to say something themselves. The dealer managed to convince me he was going to say something, and after I tabled my hand I'd just taken a second look myself. Was just super unlucky for Alex that he got the first word in.

I ended up paying the guy his bets back, and apologising. It was clearly an honest mistake. Would never slowroll in that spot versus that guy. I was suitably embarrassed and really just wanted him to take his finger out of Alex's face. Anyone who knows me knows I hate confrontation, so I probably gave the money up a little easier than the next guy (player notes: losing a pot versus zerofive is breakeven ev, as can just bully him for my investment back later.) But I'd way rather keep the peace than a handful of big blinds. Plus, in his defense, I hate it when retards keep my money. I can't have double standards of that magnitude now, can I? Wink

Fun day at the office.

i dont get this now?

you tabled your hand, you dont need to say a word. even if the dealer heard you say you were ahead till the river - doesnt mean he can ship the pot the other way!

Also - if yo udont table your hand, the dealer has no right to turn it over, whatever his suspicions

Hand was tabled. Just turned face down after I saw the other hand. It was late, and everyone was tired, including the dealer. If this hand had occurred earlier in the night, I'm sure it wouldn't have been this big an issue.

Sean tabled his hand. Granted it was after a few seconds but it did turn it over, albeit thinking he'd lost.

After a hand has touched the felt face up, it qualifies as tabled, and can be retabled at any time. Everyone knows this, I think there is just a little confusion ITT as to whether my hand was actually tabled. And yes it was.
