Hey TK how about Shola Akindele. She is a pretty good Omaha player.
Not sure if she plays alot online? Enjoyed the Sky Poker event at DTD even
if it was a little too busy for my liking.

Got lots to blog about, very busy weekend. Won't have time today though cos have a funfilled afternoon/evening. Laser Quest boooooom! Havent been since I was 12 (probably when most people stopped going ldo) but seriously excited about it. Then we've organised a 2/5 game at Alea which starts tonight. Gonna be a really tough lineup and a great challenge.

Hope everyone is having a good day Smiley

Friday. Did a good win on cash. £1750 Smiley Two big pots, both with Kings.

1) Terry raises under the £8 straddle to £20. I make it £60 with dem cowboys. Straddler (Ian Frazer) calls cold, Terry comes along. two hearts . Ian shoves for £500 effective. Terry folds, I snap. Ian shows 79o. I hold. Nice
2) I raise to £25 under the £8 straddle. Terry makes it £65 next to act. I make it £200. Terry jams for £1050. I call and hold vs . Weee. I think getting in £500 vs him with ATo a few weeks ago proved to be a good decision long term Wink So that was a 2.1k pot, biggest ever pot I've won before unbacked. The other pot I won >2k was allin pre as well lol.

So that was a great night, best ever night on cash unbacked Smiley

Am I being a numpty or is Terry playing cash like it's a tourney? Or are these standard live cash spots?

Saturday. Sky Poker Day 1. Can't remember much of interest. Remember playing really well all day and winning lots of pots without showdown. Was a very long day. 2pm-4am was knackered. Made it back with 10 bigs after a bad final few levels.

Sunday. Day 2. Had a wicked spin up. Reshoved my 10bigs with 55 over a cutoff open, got a fold (?!). Did the same with 14 bigs with 88, got another fold! What is going on?! I had like 18bigs now. Sweet. Shorty shoves 6bigs, I find TT and reshove. Hold vs KQ yay. 25 bigs. Hero a shove with QQ on A83 3 8 and win vs J7o (who'd flatted my 3bet pre playing like 14bigs lol). Nick the blinds 3/4 times an orbit and all of a sudden I'm up to 255k - double average! Now I can start playing.

Had an annoying spot a 4k/8k. I min KQo from early pos, 16k folds to bb who shoves 80k. I'm no expert on this sort of thing so I'm interested in what people make of my thoughts on this one. Most people had 80-150k on my table. I have 250 and I'm table captain. I think maintaining this position is really important. We're around the money bubble, lots of people just want to make it. One guy openly admitted he just wants to make it past the bubble then he doesn't care. I know mathematically it's a snap, cos he's shoved 10bigs and I've put 2 in, but I call and I'm gonna be 30% most of the time, therefore 70% of the time I'll be in the rest of the pack again and not in a position to dominate really. I just think maybe I should've preserved my chip position and taken the -CEV line (yes I'm learning some new words off my online friends) and just folded. What do you think?

Anyway, so I call and lose and then lose a few bbs here and there, suddenly I'm back down to below average. Shove 12bbs with A3 and run into the AA of the eventual winner, James Williams. Nice guy, best player I played against all weekend probably so deserved winner imo.

After the comp, I go and play 7/8hours of cash. Win £1k. Happy times. Really enjoyed the game. Mitch was out with his "girlfriend", so I had the luxury of being table captain for the night. Crushed it and received some nice donations along the way. Including the comp, it was a >3k weekend. Very happy with that.

My horsie has started playing this week, no cashes of yet, but a few deep runs and he's playing really good. Lost a pot for 6x average early in one, set vs straight draw - ouch! Only a matter of time before the first bink imo.

2/5 tonight was good. Well, I enjoyed it, it wasn't a profitable session. I lost my £1k buyin in a pretty ghey hand to Keith where he rivered two pair with Q4dd vs my AK on KQ634 in a 3bet pot, I bet flop bet turn and called the river shove. I think I was probably -ev in the game to be honest. Keith, Keys, Mitch all there, but it wasn't just us, otherwise I definitely wouldn't've played. Dunno whether I'll play it again next week, probably not. Fine to do as a one off shot, experience, challenge etc. But not a game I wanna become a reg in, because I can't see it getting any softer.

For now I'm sticking to what I know I can win at 50/1 and 1/2 holdem and live donkaments. Online too though, 100nl on SKY POKER is going well. Wish they did rakeback though... Sad

Oh I forgot to mention...actually I didn't forget, I just thought I'd save this brag for it's own special post, all by itself, so it'll get noticed and read and quoted and printed and....yeh....

I called Tom Walster on the river with 8 high today for £80 and was good Cheesy
