Alex if your getting Pet Insurance get Pet Plan, most of the others don't cover conditions after a Year which I found out to my cost (Diabetic Cat)

Whatever crowd you go with just make sure you get 'lifetime' cover. Pet Plan are probably the pricier of the lot, but they seem to be worth it. Just make sure it's 'lifetime' cover and even the middle of the road package will do. When we asked our vet, the only thing he was sure of was - stay away from Tesco pet insurance.

Thanks guys. I looked at one, and under the "Exclusions" section of the contract, there was about 25 things listed that they didn't cover - which seems to cover just about every permutation I could think of that I'd need it for!
I don't think I'll bother, my view on insurance (burned into me from my Dad) is that if you can afford to take the hit, and can take the variance, then it's financially better in the long run not to get any.
The companies make money in the long run from every policy for obvious reasons. If an average house cat requires £x treatment per year, they'll charge £x + £y premium. Also the contract is worded such that any claim I might put in, they'd find some way out of it and wouldn't pay out. I'm sure there's decent companies out there but I don't think it's worth it.
I've only just got myself some travel insurance sorted! I was made to realise that I couldn't take the financial hit of a big problem if I was away somewhere and needed to be flown home so that's the sort of insurance you might as well just flick in to save the hassle.

I'm a monster fish in online MTT's but pretty sure we're supposed to fold or 3be the
there?
What a joke format online donkyments are
Probably, was a min bvb 30bbs deep, thought I could take a flop in position, you never know what's gonna come do ya! What if it comes 766?! I'd also just doubled up A4>KK so was freerolling
#pro
Online donkys aren't a joke format imo! The average on the final was 30-40bbs, way better than live. Of course, I dunno what the average final table avg is, but this one was fairly decent.

Vet Bills might not be huge but over a couple of years really do add up, you may be ok whilst your Cat is young (especially if it is an indoor Cat) but defo recommend say after 5 years - I think I was paying something like 2k a year for the Diabetes (didn't want to put him down either as I am Diabetic!)

Full on downswinging, lost about 4k over the last 3 days. Not great preparation for my first EPT, my mind is not right atm. Might play day 1b and have two days off to relax and see Campione and the lake, to get in a better frame of mind. Been coolered a lot, but some of it's been my fault, not folding to 3/4bets enough and then trying desperately to win pots that I should just give up. Running so good lately has warped my mind into thinking "I'm going to get there" so I'm just not folding enough and trying to be too clever.
I needed this smack on the bottom to shake me up, let's hope I can draw a line under it and refocus for next week.

This is basically how I was supposed to phrase my massive whinge. It's tough to get sympathy when you're running bad after such a sick heater, but it's true that it is no less brutal. It's like having the floor taken from underneath you and you wonder why it all of a sudden isn't going your way which - as you said - leads to warped thinking. You're decent at seeing things from a matter of fact perspective, so a couple of days off will be all you need mate. Getting the cake in Campione will be just the tonic.
Unlucky tonight mate but get the crush back on innit.

Is it today you fly to Italy?
If so, enjoy, have a safe journey, & run good.
Italy is quite beautiful, too. Don't make the mistake I often did, going to these lovely places to play poker, & not finding time to do the touristy stuff.

Yes I'm in Manchester airport right now. Had a lovely journey across the peaks to get here - so beautiful, and driving in the Beamer made it so sweet! Pretty slick valet parking service at the airport too.
I made a mistake Tikay, that 2k side event clashes with day 2, not day 3, so there's a decent chance I won't play it.
I will see the sights a bit, but this is very much a business trip. I'm travelling alone and won't know many people out there, so ill be playing a lot, hopefully getting a return for my backers in the comps, and maybe making some money for myself in the cash games.
