Dealer: 20alex430 wins the tournament and receives $2,000.00 - congratulations!

Yay, first ever comp win online I think! Was supposed to be playing DTD tonight, but lost like 800 in first hour which was pretty tilting, so I drove home and regged for 3 comps whilst railing flushy to victory and watching the apprentice.

To be fair, only the last hand at DTD was tilting. THE GUY LIMP RERAISED ME! DON'T LIMP RAISE ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

He limp/shoved allin for like 360 (well he flatted a raise then jammed so technically he actually did a New York backjam) for like 360, after I'd 3b to 70 and I just wanted to outdraw him cos I found it so annoying lol. Getting a decent price too, and getting there had some good implied odds. Implied odds? I hear you ask. Let me explain to you a few concepts.

Fun equity. Getting there with a shit hand is fun and amusing.

Off tilt equity. If I win, I'm back level and morale is high and I can play well for the rest of the evening and enjoy myself. If I lose, I go home and do no further damage.

Future tilt equity. My opponent will be tilted by losing to K4 so may be on tilt.

Suited equity. Far greater than offsuited equity. These percentage points may seem like not such a big deal, but they are. It's also really fun to flop a flush draw and get there, or even better, turn a backdoor flushdraw and get there. Cross reference to fun equity. Flopping a flush is another alternative, but that's a bit too much. It sort of ruins it, there's no sweat. Bit like knocking in a nail with a sledgehammer.

ANYWAY, despite the plethora of different sorts of equity, we did NOT get there, even after flopping a King, he turned an Ace and his AQ was good (#knewIwaslive). The 8k downswing continues...

No problem, ease the pain with a fun little victory in a 33r.

Still loving the game...just about!

Surely Peter Linton has explained reversed implied odds to you Al? First thing he taught me.
