I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

5% @ 1.47 in the LAPT auction please Alex.
Good to see you the other evening and sorry you are having a tough time of it at the moment. It happens to us all, though of course this doesn't make it any easier when it is our turn/time. Focus on being surrounded by great friends and enjoying a game you clearly have a passion for and all will be good again soon I'm sure.

I sent you all John's details yesterday over pm here. I think I did anyway, I was on my phone so it might not have sent.
He's actually in Medellin now and is settling in nicely. He is looking forward to having someone there who talks the same language and said to make contact so you can get together when you get there.

When do you fly home. Thought it might be a laugh to let customs know the drugs are up your bum. Some might not find that funny tho

The house fell through sigh. Countdown to homelessness: 5 days. Moving back to Cambridge from the 1st August
. Just gonna wait until I'm back from Colombia before sorting a place, or hopefully the boys can sort somewhere whilst I'm away, but don't have high hopes for that. Booked flights for Colombia now, it's just what I need right now, really looking forward to it. Going 22 days total, which isn't as long as I'd like but it'll still be amazing.
Currently in the living room having another session of "home game blackjack" where I did enough money in the first shoe to retire to the rail for the night. I just seem to run terrible whenever it's my turn to be the house. Stato and Mitch obv getting the lot, Giblin doing his nuts. Everyone's doing £50+ a box, except Thigh, who's still grinding £5. Currently £2700 on the table, 4handed lol. Degenerate times.

Pretty gross. Doing your nuts at 0EV games is probably the most tilting thing ever when poker isn't going too great either.

Yes. Also played 2 hours at DTD, got dealt Q4o and 72o every hand, so folded every single hand. Still managed to finish £400 down because of playing props to reduce the boredom.

Alex, one of the staking guidelines is
"- You may offer to stake players, or ask for staking, or apply for an offer of staking, but only if you have a minimum of 300 forum posts and have been a member of the forum for at least three months."
ie its there to protect both stakers and stakees....so for example someone choosing to use blonde for staking is also protected to an extent by not relying on staking from a newbie who might not cough up the cash
In this case, I know Ed, you know Ed etc..just making a general point
I know in practice there's not a lot that can be done about it, but just thought you should know that the guidelines "frown" upon accepting staking from those with less than 300 posts
all people wanting a piece should be able to post on the staking board, that's why the guidelines are there.

Yes I understand, I can see how it looks like I'm trying to sidestep that system, I'm sure you realise those were not my intentions.
