I think I know who placewise is. I think he is a very good cash game player from the Vic and surrounding area. Played with him a couple of times and he pawned me. He played really well and between us we had a quarter of the chips in play with 20 guys left he knocks me out then some how looses a quarter of the chips to exit in 15th.  Obv he runs good.
Please tell me I'm right or wrong placewise.

Had some big sweats again tonight, 10th in hot55 for ~$700 with $14k ftw, then cashed in a 300euro heads up shootout for like 900euros with 3matches left and 14k ftw, and came 3rd in a small 100euro freezeout for 800, so won decent for the day, but bust all of those comps with 70/30s for big pots, and again missed out on the big money. AK<AQ to bust the $1k wcoop which was a bit of a shot, so didn't enjoy that much.

Hoping I'm moaning it in, usually works Wink

Agree, defo a dog in the field. Found it and the $700 pretty tough, but with quite a few bad players still.

Like in the $1k, 17bb stack opens utg, I 3bet JJ, he PEELS WITH POCKET THREES! But wp him because it comes 983 Cheesy.

But yeh, it was tough, probably will fade the next one.

No Tony, I need to work on my game like poker_truth says. We've exchanged pleasantries over PM and he's going to be my poker coach and maybe even life coach. I've asked the boys if they mind if he moves in.

Yes I was very unlucky tonight. But I also ran good to get deep in the hot55 which is a turbo and played 3headsup matches in the 300euro, AA>AQ in the first, KK>QQ in the second, and something similar in the 3rd! So it's swings and roundabouts.

People are right of course saying I need to keep working on my game - I'd never be arrogant enough to stop, and I have lapsed recently but still do lots of PHA and sessions with team eureka, as well as just constantly talking through hands with my house when we're grinding etc. Still living and breathing poker, which is what it takes in this game.
