I'll try my best. To be honest, poker reports don't really do much for this thread in my view. People like the trip reports, the stories, the generally flavour of the lifestyle.
People seem to hate both long winded hand histories / analysis, "brags" about get the lot, or "moans" about losing. You can't really win, and I don't really feel like doing it anymore.
For example I played some 5/10 today and lost 2k. How shall I phrase it?
Shall I shrug it off like it meant nothing to me? "Played some cash, was really fun, the game was great but lost 2k, never mind, always another game
"
Or shall I say how I actually feel about it?
Can't see the point in either. So I'll stick to the missing cat stories and romantic escapades from now on!

This is something i found pretty tough to blog about myself and i get like .1% of your views. I'd personally love to have the reports of cash games back. I want the hands, I want the swings. Yeah the romance is ok, and the cat stories mildly entertaining (the thought of Andy tilting!), but would like Prose from a Poshboy to return to its glory days.

Ok I'll write about an interesting hand I played today.
Hand previous to this villain makes in my opinion a pretty bad shove when he 3bets AK pre and cbets QTx for 175 and a fish raises to 400 with 500 behind. He loses to KT and reloads to 2k. I'm playing about 1700 and have a reasonably tight image in the game so far but it's early days. I've shown nothing down. I recognise villain from somewhere but can't put my finger on where. He's young, wearing a button up yellow shirt (pretty ghastly imo) and is foreign for sure, perhaps iranian.
Fish opens utg to 40, I am utg2 with 99 and flat (I should've made it 100 here to isolate him). 2 callers, our yellow shirted friend is on the button and tanks the squeeze. He flats. Good player peels the sb, and we see a flop 6 ways.
. Good player bets out 85 into 240. I don't think he's strong here from his bet sizing but not certain. I call and villain makes it 300 on the button. Good player folds and I tank call.
Since he tanked the 3bet pre he never has a set here imo. 45 is literally the only hand in his value range and it's pretty unlikely of course. Putting him on overs with backdoors, some A4 A5 hands.
I check he checks. This is either a give up check or Qx imo.
I check he bets 700. Clear fold? We think he vbets Qx? How do we think he plays his 9T, JT, A4, A5 on turn/river?

How close are you to raising initial donk or is this an easy flat?
Don't see how we can fold river although we look like a set ott so its an easy checkback from him with all his range right? So otr we check and he immediately discounts sets, leaving us 88-TT right? So when he bets 700 into 925 we need ~44% equity to breakeven. Given we discounts his sets and presume flop/turn action leads him to a decent idea about our hand we have to call right? We get shown K5ss now and again, but can't figure enough combos of value > bluff really. Would feel a little owned when i see QJss here, would someone really play it exactly like this? Perhaps, but given we've seen spew its got to be a close call right?

Was a consideration, if he bets half pot or bigger I would've done, but 85 into 240 seemed to weak to be a hand that hand me beat.
edit: for clarifcation, he was good and aware, feels like if he had a set or straight he'd bomb the flop (or at least bet £120+) to get the max off the fish that were in the pot.

Q1 - Alex, you have got a little grumpy here, can see why, but is this down to a bit of a bad run generally?
Q2 - You are pretty open about different things, poker, money, lifestyle, so wondering how horses are generally doing here?
Q3 -Also not long ago you was saying you X amount in the bank, which for me is not ideal to be bragging about on an open forum.. But would you not think about doing something business wise with the money, whilst playing poker? You have a fair amount of money to be making more money (away from poker) & play poker at same time! You not thought about investing somewhere different?
A possible different avenue for new year?
PS - Feel free not to answer any
