You said she was way out of his league!

Yeah, and any guy who has a girl that appears out if his league (was formerly in this club) should lol it off and enjoy his life.

No point in a poker hu, its not an equal fight.

Deadmans win got me to thinking

If you set your goal as say "Id like to be £80k winner by year end, and you won £100k in Jan - woud you consider just roffling around for the rest of the year and barely playing?

(im sure the answer is no, just really keen to hear the answers and how you would react to an early big win - but I appreciate that poker isnt an annual event)

How would you feel if you ended if having a breakeven year if you won £100k in month 1?

Really keen to hear your mindset on this

Cheers

Edit: - Let me put the question in context, Im sure lots of salaried people have had the thought, "if I could collect my salary on Jan 1st and get the year off, what would I do!"

No I wouldn't quit for sure, #lovethegame init - it's not a chore, it's rarely a grind (except for online ldo), I love playing and my life would be pretty empty without it. I'd get really bored of "rofling around". Sure, I'd probably play 30% less volume. I'd probably play online on sundays only, but yeh I'd just up the stakes, play more EPTs etc, stake more people, play in more "fun" cash games e.g. the 2/5 on friday was trickett, ben vinson, keith - I'd sit in that game for the experience and banter.

I'm sure 95% of people with normal jobs would snap take the salary in Jan 1st and go travelling or just sit at home chilling, but most people don't love their jobs like I love playing poker.

Thanks - obv thought thats what you would say, I just find life and peoples monetary expectations fascinating. Obv the "poker player" is in a very different boat to most

Weekend was extremely busy, was at DTD basically every hour I was awake playing the deepstack/cash, and when I busted the deepstack (38th for mincash+1, my third consecutive mincash+1 in my last 3 live tournaments!) I played the sundays which didn't go well. Loved playing the deepstack though. Knocking on the door of a big score soon I can feel it.

I did do something productive non-poker wise though - It's a triple range merge, piano style! It's called "Sweet Paradise".

I've written a cover of Coldplay's Paradise, mixed in with Florence and the Machine's "Sweet Nothing" - two #1 hits from 2012 that work well together I think. Really pleased with this, even though I made a couple of mistakes when recording. Hope you like it. Literally! Click like on the youtube video if you do!

Massively disappointed in attire but not the music! I notice in the video you do a floaty thing with your left hand/wrist a lot, I've seen things like that from musicians before, is it just to help with timings?
