I am reaching a blonde landmark. A 10,000 post. I will make that said post in this diary which will reflect on some poker goals I had some time ago. Times have changed and some of those goals have shifted and some have been met. Some may never be met.

The last year has been strange to say the least. I owe a lot to Jared and will be doing a full and frank review in the mental game of poker thread after this weekend.

Tomorrow Shelley is making her debut at the deepstack. I'd love to see us make day 2. Maybe fate has something in store for us. Or maybe I'll be mooching around waiting for her as usual. We shall see. We're then playing a 100 pound comp at our local gala. It has a trophy for the winner. A truly epic sturcture for gala. 10k chips and 20 min levels! With all the levels. Y'know- 50/100, 100/200, 200/400..... So quite a big weekend for us all in all.

I'm also travelling down with Shelley to Sky studios to be a guest analyst on Sky poker. Should be great fun as Tikay will be on too!

Special thanks to my mum for all the babysitting tokens. We're lucky to have a Gran who'll happily take all 4 kids in at a drop of a hat.

So I'm going to Prague.

It's amazing how this shit happens. One minute there's 3500 of us and my chances of going are just lol.

Then with 100 odd left I'm pretty certain I'm gonna make it because of the conversation I'm going to have with Shelley.

I'd love to take her. Realistically though, with this much notice we just cannot arrange sitters.

So I'm working till Thurs lunchtime. Then driving down to Sky Studios with Shelley to appear as a guest analyst with Tikay. I'm chuffed it's with Sir Sky himself. I think we'll have some fun and hopefully I won't get found out.

Then drive home and up early. Fly from east mids- check in. Will probs catch up with Team Eureka and be an guest member for the weekend?

Then playing the ipops main Saturday at 4. They're dragging it out for two days and hopefully I'll be there for the final 6. Just to tell you what happened last night on the bubble.

There's 29 left and I have A9hh in the c/off with 22 bigs. I decide to jam (maybe bad). There's 2 stacks that cover so if they win I'm out and although disappointed I don't have to travel to Prague with no stack. The one player I do cover SNAPS. Sigh.

He has J9cc. Obv doesn't want to go to Prague short either. He flops his jack which leaves me with just 200k at 25/50k. Two players have somehow been knocked out and I have 200k at 25k/50k and am jetting across the world with 4 big blinds.

As it turns out, they're rolling the blinds back to 5k/10k. BOOOM!!! (Only had I known that I would have quite happily sat on my 75 big blinds!) Can't complain though. Could be a lot worse. And had my hand held up I would have had 1.7 million! C'est la vie. I never ever make things easy for myself. 90k up top would be nice though!
