Probably shouldn't back this weeks US tournament imo? The big guns don't give their all because of an eye on the masters maybe. The close cut greensides remove some advantage of big hitters, Straight hitters off the tee and whoever happens to be in good touch around the greens out of the straightest drive hitters. I want to back south africans as lots of their courses are set up the same around the greens  so they should shine in theory.

I've backed these for a small interest -

De Jonge
Elkington
Glover
Scwartzel

Euros -
Larrazbal
Willet

If the big guns aren't giving it their all, but taking out a huge chunk of the market then seems like we should be betting in it Smiley   ...depending on who you classing as big gun of course

Difficult to know, but some 'big' names have won this in recent years

When i say prob should sit out this week i mean in the sense that you know next week they are all 100%, this week i'm not certain of it.

i only rate vijay of a few years ago as a 'big name'.

Backed JB Holmes so far for Houston ... 1.5ptsEW @ 40/1... Looks tailor made from what I can see, but be interested to hear what others think.

Also on the short list are Baddeley again, and Jason Day but still checking em out.

Runing total:- 167pts

Added 1pt EW Jason Day @ 50/1 for houston

Late edition to the stable.. Cant resist Baddeley @ 60/1 with , 1.5pts EW

Tourno winnings or "earnings"?  Smiley

Too cynical to suggest he'll hang onto his sponsorship payments?

(For the record, I haven't donated anything - great gesture regardless)

I believe it is winnings, just misquoted in that particular article. Says he has enough to live on and savings so this is the best way to spend his money. He's also donating $750 for every birdie he makes during the year so guess he will be eating into his sponsorship deals too.

Anyone on Michael Campbell this week?

It just might be the most surprising comeback since Lazarus.

I played the brabazon at the belfry last week and we were reminising about going to watch a tournament there a couple of years ago where we followed Michael Campbells group for a while and he was genuinely hitting it no better then a high handicapper at times.

I'd love to see him come back.

Sigh, Nico... Keep plugging away, bink around the corner!!!

Unlucky Karab and Horner also..

Cheers m8, bit punch drunk from all these 2nds but meh.

New balance is now 89.60 points.

Seriously doubt ill bet this week.

Masters time means time to return to the golf bets.

Already have fred couples in my portfolio for 1 pt ew@125s from ages bk, now with 6 places available and 150s around i'm already saying grrrr.

Just added woods, the 12-1 price seems unreal especially with the 6 places available ew. The guy is ALWAYS around at augusta, i cannot see him not giving me a sweat here. Mick's resurgance in form and great form at the crse is prob a major fact in the woods price too, well yeah phil will challenge but most still wont. You can either play this crse well or u cant at all-dsnt seem much in btwn, and ill take the proven form here all day long. Backed it now as i only seee his price coming in before thursday.

2.5 pts ew Tiger Woods@12-1 (first 6 places)

Balance=84.60 points.
