Be good to keep a rec of my golf bets.
Will start with 100 point bank too.
Abu Dhabi selections:
1.5 Point wins- Kaymer@8-1
Westwood@9-1.
0.5 pt ew's- Manassero@66-1
Rhy Davies@175-1.
Eduardo Molinari@66-1
Balance=94 points.
Kaymer's won this 2 of the last 3 years. Westy is pure class and will be on a roll from last season's finish. The other two are good young players at generous prices with every chance of a reasonable showing.
Haven't looked at the us one yet, thh coverage tilts me tho and might put me off even from the sweat factor.
Edit- just added on eduardo molinari at 66s, almost 3 times his brother's price- i actually think he's the more talented sibling.
Nice work so far Kaymer, meh the rest of em.
Topping up the portfolio as bar the leader the places look up for grabs and it's still top 3 1/4 the odds with tote which seems fair, both of these are on -7, just 2 strokes from second.
0.5 pt ew's Niclas Fasth@66/1
Rafa Echenique@80/1
Balance=92 Points.
Ok so new balance is
105.5
points thanks to kaymer.
Prob going to leave the european event this week as tbh the field dsnt mass excite me and i can't see much value neither.
In contrast over the pond 'The farmer's insurance open' look's a great betting event.
Woods at 11-4 odd gives nice prices to the rest.
I normally follow dustin johnson on the us tour in most comps and this week is no different, i'd make him second fav most weeks and am happy to get 20+ on a huge talent.
The other wagers all appear to have lovely place value as well as all being potential winners. Seems quite a bit of dead wood around and as said prev i think woods taking up so much of the book allows for value elsewhere.
2PTS WIN Dustin Johnson@21-1
1PT EW Mahan@45-1
0.5 PT'S EW Laird@70-1
Leishman@80-1
Appleby@125-1
Balance 98.5 Points.
Summary going in2 last round:
Mahan is tied 3rd and looking to have every chance, johnson is 5 off the lead but has the game to challenge with a barnstormer, leishman is 6 back and wld kinda need a miracle but could sneak a place, appleby is 10 back and ummm kinda finished and laird had a weekend off.
Decided to have a cple more bets just to be silly as i feel there is a bit of value to be had.
Anthony Kim 1 pt ew@10-1 (top 3 places paid)
Jhonattan Vegas 0.5 pt ew@33-1
Balance=95.5 points.

I'll play along if you dont mind as normally bet the golf each week
Euro tour event not my cup of tea either this week.
Going for something slighly different in the US tour event, with it being first time up for alot of the players this season
Starting balance:- 100pts
4pts Nick Watney top ten finish @ 5/2
4pts Rickie Fowler top ten finish @ 13/5
Both got course form, both from Calafornia, and both generally very consistent (finished in top 10 in at least 3rd of tour events played last year)
GL
Funny game.. Watney doesn't get going for 3 rounds and then shoots a 63 to finish 6th - Fowler gets off to a flyer but manages to play himself out of it.
Balance:- 106pts
Looking forward to Euro event in Quatar this week

More sweats than in a sauna but ultimately a very disappointing week.
Mahan gets 6th after a mini choke final round, johnson is tied 3rd after never quite getting there, leishman tied 9th, and although vegas excited he barely gave a profit due to tying 3rd.
Meh!
Balance now 97.4 points.

Good luck moon and t mar this week.
Hoping to get back on form this week and am betting on both tours.
Firstly on the european side i'm playing safe and going with a classy trio.
2.5 pts win Kaymer@7-1
1.5 pts win Westwood@10-1
1 pt win Quiros@14-1
Secondly on the us front i've gone for a course specialist in JB, a young gun who will sooner or later destroy a top class field and veteran who is smooth as silk (top ten in this last year) and seems over priced.
1.5 pts win Fowler@25-1
1 pt ew JB Holmes@50-1
1pt ew Couples@150-1
Balance= 86.9 (Started with 100)

1pt EW Kim @ 25/1
Really think its going to pay to follow him in the next few weeks... Streaky player that is coming right back into form.
Was kicking myself as was going to back him for the Masters after his R1 last week (50/1) but held off and price gone now.

I've gone for Jonathan Bryd - think hes a bit overpriced based on his recent form also the course doesn't demand long driving so that suit him.

Crazy first round in qatar with many of the fancied players, perhaps even kaymer who is 9 back-possibly fatally ruining their chances this week.
Even though it supposedly hurts my portfolio due to my selections somewhat open to the label of being such players with quiros and westy also 6 and 4 behind respectively, this kinda whirlwind start opens up the market a bit, and i like.
I normally spread about ten points over the whole comp, in fact rarely back after the first round till the sunday morning, but value is value and i think i may have found a bit.
Quiros may be 6 back but that's makeable over 3 rounds, especially with his course record, im pressing here at 50-1. Fasth was involved near the death last week and is only 1 off the lead and looks to be ready for a decent weekend.
Two rags i've found both seem overpriced. Fichardt has won this b4 and has a nice record in qatar as well as just being 1 behind the goose, oliver fisher is a talented player who seems to be either on it or off, i'm hoping with him lying at -1 it's an on week.
Added to the european event:
0.5 PTS EW x 4-
Quiros@50-1 (top 4 places paid)
Fasth@33-1
Fichardt@70-1
O fisher@125-1
Balance now 82.9 points.
