Good luck moon and t mar this week.

Hoping to get back on form this week and am betting on both tours.

Firstly on the european side i'm playing safe and going with a classy trio.

2.5 pts win Kaymer@7-1

1.5 pts win Westwood@10-1

1 pt win Quiros@14-1

Secondly on the us front i've gone for a course specialist in JB, a young gun who will sooner or later destroy a top class field and veteran who is smooth as silk (top ten in this last year) and seems over priced.

1.5 pts win Fowler@25-1

1 pt ew JB Holmes@50-1

1pt ew Couples@150-1

Balance= 86.9 (Started with 100)

Crazy first round in qatar with many of the fancied players, perhaps even kaymer who is 9 back-possibly fatally ruining their chances this week.

Even though it supposedly hurts my portfolio due to my selections somewhat open to the label of being such players with quiros and westy also 6 and 4 behind respectively, this kinda whirlwind start opens up the market a bit, and i like.

I normally spread about ten points over the whole comp, in fact rarely back after the first round till the sunday morning, but value is value and i think i may have found a bit.

Quiros may be 6 back but that's makeable over 3 rounds, especially with his course record, im pressing here at 50-1. Fasth was involved near the death last week and is only 1 off the lead and looks to be ready for a decent weekend.

Two rags i've found both seem overpriced. Fichardt has won this b4 and has a nice record in qatar as well as just being 1 behind the goose, oliver fisher is a talented player who seems to be either on it or off, i'm hoping with him lying at -1 it's an on week.

Added to the european event:

0.5 PTS EW x 4-

                      Quiros@50-1 (top 4 places paid)

                      Fasth@33-1

                      Fichardt@70-1

                      O fisher@125-1

Balance now 82.9 points.

Us comp has miles to go due to delays but j b holmes is going along nicely at -8 in around 7th.

Qatar is looking like it's quiros or bust.

Thus i'm adding another spaniard to assist!

0.5 pt ew Rafael-Cabrera-Bello@66-1 (top 3 places paid)

Balance=81.9 points.

Really wierd the way the US has played out, cant be very good psychologically for the thursday -3, -4 guys who thought "ok start" and now 10 behind.

Totally agree, think this could open up this comp, so i'm adding a couple of bets, with one huge outsider.

0.5 pts ew Baddeley@40-1

                 Cameron Beckman@200-1
(top 4 places paid)

Balance=79.9 points.

Was hoping to back dustin johnson and watney too at 80+ as i think both are mass value in the place parts, but had another cple of funerals this week-accounts closed or restricted.

Wont get on bets unless i get the full value available, or at least near enough.

Such a joke some of these bookies, it's not like im winning fortunes from betting, just doing a few bets they aint keen on(not golf bets), well i aint keen on how they behave nor treat their customers, no matter i'll get by.

Meh a 2nd and a tied third.

Quiros returned 6.75 points and cabrera-bello 3.55 points for tying third.

Thus a 10.3 pt return for a 10 point outlay, quite deflating but hey at least no disaster.

Balance now 90.2 points.

Ricky looking good in the us-just 4 back with 2 rounds to go, couples is 9 back...but u never know, and jb is lurking....go go go selections! Smiley

Felt obliged to top up my usa portfolio to the usual 10 points staked over the wknd.

Very congested near the top and im surprised some of the books still go ew top 4 with a few holes left of round 3, thus ive backed dunfer who is just 4 back.

Watney as expected has charged up the leadeboard and although will be 5 or so back, will def be a danger, small saver on the win.

1PT EW Dunfer@25-1 (top 4 places)

0.5 pt WIN Watney@40-1

Points=88.2.

Feel dufner bottled that play off, cross off for me-unless proven otherwise, fair play to wilson imo.

Seconditus again, hurts a bit but i'll pick myself up and try and win again next week.

Prev i got the updated points tally wrong, it shlda been on 87.7 points.

Ok so here are my usa returns:

J B Holmes-tied 5th- 1 pt ew@50-1 (4.5 pts returned)

Jason Dufner-2nd-1 pt ew@25-1 (6 pts returned)

98.2 points balance.

Least there are some great sweats going on, golf betting is da nuts.

ul for a place - pretty freakish 17th hole.  Can't help but think his caddy should have handed him a putter given the consequences of a duff.

Desert Classic

I had Mcilroy in mind for this, but priced so tight along with the other 'big3' I dont think there is any value to be had a the very top of the market

I'm going to stick with Alvaro.. Fustrating player in some ways... He played really well after a poor first day last week and that was his 2nd top5 of 2011 along with a top 10 so he's in great form generally.. Coupled with that, he had first 3 rounds under 70 in this last year and must of been one of the leaders going to into round4 before shooting a 75 when everyone struggled to score.  Was also T13 the year before

He's a good bet I reckon

Also backed Ed Molinari top ten as largely consistent, had a good start to year and played well here last year to finish T4... Was close to backing him win and place but prefer top 10 for him in competitive field

2pt EW Quiros @ 20/1
4pts Ed Molinari @ 5/2 (Top Ten)

European bets this week are quite simples, lot of dead wood in field, tight at top of market, where only one is a stand out for me.

Kaymer dsnt like the crse he played last week, yet bar his first round it wasn't a disaster

Has good consistent course form here,is playing red hot right now, and something else is interesting.

Woods at 13-2 seems bigger than i'd expect the bookies to offer, i think it's due to them running scared of the german-almost a tip from the shrewd ones.

Just a few places back in the betting is Jiminez who won this last year and if he can stop missing the small putts cld really challenge.

Amoing the rags is Caberra-bello who put up a nice finish last week, place chance and maybe more.

Kaymer- 3pts win@5-1

Jiminex 1pt ew@33-1

Caberra-Bello- 0.5 pt ew@100-1

Balance=92.2 points.

Usa selections to follow.

Dustin jonshon has won the pga comp this week for the past two years. The course is perfect for his game and he shld tear up the par 5's as usual this week.

Without sparkling he's been doing ok on the tour over the past few weeks, maybe this week is his chance to shine and 3peat this.

JB holmes is also tailor made for this course, he was 2nd last year and placed 5th last week.

Vijay Singh has a good record around here-is second best in all time earnings at pebble, also he looks to be on the comeback trail with a tied third last week.

Dustin Johnson 2pts ew@7-1

1pt ew X 2 JB Holmes@33-1

                Vijay Singh@35-1

Balance=84.2 points.

Edit- Seeing as i've 2 particularly strong selections i'm going to stick kaymer and johnson in an ew dble.

1pt ew dble- kaymer@5-1 and dustin johnson@7-1

Balance=82.2 points.
