I don't bet on golf much, but I had to have a few quid on Dustin Johnson at over 7/1.

His claims look absolutely rock solid this week.

just in case it comes in, we have been bundling on Chris Kirk, 150/1 when we started backing him and he's a lot shorter now.

been winning on other tours and outplaying recent pga tour breakthroughers Vegas and Two glove bloke.

I virtually never bet on pro-am golf tourneys as I feel that another unfathomable element is added to the mix.

I am also not a big fan of events that are played on several different courses.

I am not a particular fan of Bill Murray either who appears to be the main attraction here every year.

So basically I did not bet on this week's US event.

Desert Classic

I had Mcilroy in mind for this, but priced so tight along with the other 'big3' I dont think there is any value to be had a the very top of the market

I'm going to stick with Alvaro.. Fustrating player in some ways... He played really well after a poor first day last week and that was his 2nd top5 of 2011 along with a top 10 so he's in great form generally.. Coupled with that, he had first 3 rounds under 70 in this last year and must of been one of the leaders going to into round4 before shooting a 75 when everyone struggled to score.  Was also T13 the year before

He's a good bet I reckon

Also backed Ed Molinari top ten as largely consistent, had a good start to year and played well here last year to finish T4... Was close to backing him win and place but prefer top 10 for him in competitive field

2pt EW Quiros @ 20/1
4pts Ed Molinari @ 5/2 (Top Ten)
