Edit-Just stan james i see go top 6, mbn having an ac with them!
Updated balance from after us masters is

Course suits good mid to long iron players with a draw, shot makers don't do well. Putting not so important.
Course could have been built for McIlroy so i have to back him despite the shitty price. Would like to back Fuyrk with his course form and decent current form but he's too short imo, i don't think he's the winner he used to be.
Had a few at longer odds with suitable games and some course form -
Vegas
Campbell
Cabrera
MAHAN
Euro tour -
Brett Rumford
Bello
Saltman

Hey mate, how do work out what kind of players suit each course?? Just your own knowledge of the course or is there guide / preview that you using? Not disagreeing with your thoughts on above, but I been trying to get more info on the courses that I'm not familar with and what sort of players suit etc...
From the info i could find this week, i came to conclusion that although the course plays long, as its tree lined with lots of dog legs being a long of the tee wasn't neccesaary and accuracy was more important... only my thoughts though and might be barking up wrong tree, agree with the mid / long iron players (makes sense if they bit shorter of the tee?!)

look at the course guide and read any reviews you can find. I also know a couple of experts who know the courses from trading golf. Most important - Looking at players who've performed well on the course previously and then going through their detailed stats to figure out what kind of player they are - PGATOUR sites stats are amazing.
The driving requirements appear to be not the bombers and not the shorter guys as the dog legs are quite long, the bombers get into to trouble due to the tree lined punishment and the shorter hitters can't get to the corner without lashing it and again make mistakes, solid 280-290yd types. The greens don't appear to be difficult judging by the players who do well here. And people with funky swings who like to move the ball a lot don't do well, i'd back bubba to miss the cut if i dared but he's a freak, mickelson, villegas etc to. Long high slight draws with 4,5,6 irons look like the ticket.
I keep meaning to go through and figure out all their game types and create an easy reference, one day.

I quite like David Toms' chances this week and am on ew @ 90 on BF
He seems to be fully over his wrist injury and is scoring consistently again. C+D winner too.

Not betting related but I played Castle Stuart this week - home of Scottish Open this year. TV pictures are going to be awesome - it's a beautiful course.
We'll not dwell too long on the standard of the golf though.....

Yeah previous course form and the stats on pgatour and golfstats sites are what i try and base my picks on.. Just decent course guides I could do more with.. I only really started following the golf late last season so course knowledge not the best, and probs dont always get it right
