McDowell looks great value to me at 7/1 or so in running given the weather for the scottish open

Just got my first bet matched for next week's Open, Hunter Mahan @ the saliva-inducing price of 85 on BF.

Can't see the weather helping much, looks like hardly a breath of wind all weekend, would rather be on Donald at 8/1.

My point was more that he is in the clubhouse now with a decent score and the wind is starting to blow.  He definitely has the best of the draw today.

Absolutely champion puntering by me this week in the golf!

I've backed 6 players, 2 have withdrawn, I have 3 players in T94 pos and the other in T110

I need storming rounds from these guys just to make the cut!!!

Romero was backed for his birdie ability , he had 7 but finished level !!! Standard.

Todays Romero watch :

Opens up with a double bogey on the 1st(10th), hits back with 3 birdies then bogeys a Par 5 to leave him Level after 9 holes....

Starts back nine Birdie,Eagle then has a 6 footer to birdie the next- yep you guessed it he 3 putts that for another bogey!

Rollercoaster much?

McDowell looks massive now, extremely unlikely they will play four rounds. I was on Westwood pre tourney but have laid it all back, reckon he's more like a 12/1 shot than 6/1 at the moment.

I wouldn't be so sure that the tourney won't get finished as it's probably light until 10pm.

It's almost in the Arctic Circle up there.

Yeah, I might have mucked this up a bit, a mate just told me Westwood has a very makeable eagle putt on the 12th, fml. It can't be that bad though, there's no way he should be much shorter than 6/1.

Any idea how long his eagle putt is? PGA tour website is a million times better than European Tour.

He has a chance of making it. 20ft I'd say. More likely a birdie though.

It's now been officially reduced to 54 holes.

Given the conditions and reduction in holes I think that Jamieson might be a bit of value at 16/1 or so too.

20/1 Jamieson for those of you lucky enough to be able to get on with BWIN.
