Mahan is drifting like a barge, I must be the only mug who fancies him this week, obv. pressing.

If I was a bookie I'd give you 20 places on Kaymer.

Will have $50 @ 6/4 top 20 for laughs if you want? Smiley

13/10 best price, I'll give you 11/8 and we're on?

i'll have another $100 with you brent at 11/8 if you fancy laying it?

ffs I'm not a charity. But then again I voiced my opinion and saw Kaymer 4 putt from 10 feet live at last years open and can't get that out of my head. Ill lay you $50 @ 11/8 aswell Ace, ok?

But no moreeeeee

booked

I played this course in 2002 and it is by far the hardest course i have ever played and i've played hundreds! It will not be a low score that wins so basically its anybody's as long as they can hang in as it won't be a birdie fest! I've also backed those with form at this venue as feel you need to know it well and gone for those with links experience who can grind it out. Also had a friendly few punts on 6 players at masive prices in the hope i can lay off early for a free wheel to the finish.

My long shot tip, Langer at 780/1

also backed Love, Bjorn, Garcia, Laird, Paul Lawrie and Paddy Harrington.

I'm also loving the fact i backed Donald 3 months ago at 28/1 (now 14s).

Good Luck

Anyone seen any betting on individual players scores?  Like the idea of betting against a low score.  Spoken t a couple of people who have walked the course today and it sounds as though it will be difficult to break par.  McIlroy to bogey the first @ 3/1 with Skybet seems fair.

Gotta agree with Junior regarding the scoring being tough but reports are the rough is light for an open, but forecast not good.

Morning/Afternoon draw looks the better side of the tee times for the forecast.  And if the wind arrives as predicted a plotter or a scrambler has to be favourite.  Donald the obvious, and if Langer's thumb has healed not the most outrageous shout.  I like Poulter, Garcia and KJ enough to throw away some cash.  Watson @ 80's to be top US player and some fun on Ishikawa, Fowler, Manassero and Watney.

2 stupid stabs in the dark Kaymer vs Garcia and Choi vs Goosen draws first round @ 14/1 each and Poulter first round leader @ 50's.

Some guy at work managed to sell out a 120 player/£10 sweep and I pulled Donald and Jimanez which would be nice.

Thread was good fun last year, and hope some one binks the lot on some mad outsider.

I have a wee stable of thoroughbreds. And a mad outsider after his storming finish at Castle Stuart. All for enormous stakes.
GL all.

Graeme McDowell   34
Padraig Harrington   44

Just caught the tailend of the 8 about Bjorn being first round leader. Doubt he'll be caught now if the wind gets up as expected.
