Guttapointed with Stricker today, really fancied him to make a charge in favourable conditions this morning.

F me, young Mr Palmer is all over the place. I am just keeping track of the scores on oddschecker every now and again but he went from -2 to +1 to -1 again..

WD Charl today...don't quite see why Kaymer is favourite for the thing at the moment though.

He has a very good score in the clubhouse and is the best player within three shots of the lead.  He is pretty decent value at current prices imo.

you reckon 6-1 is a bit of value? I can't have him at that price. TBH he is clearly a top golfer and the main price i am stunned by is the 9-1 on McIlroy...that's a shockingly bad price

I think Kaymer was about 9/1 when I wrote that.  Certainly not shorter than 7/1.  He is 13/2 on BF now and I think that is probably about right.  Kinda agree about Rory but to be fair there are only two or three players above him on the leaderboard that had a worse draw than him.  Think it will suit Rory to go out in the middle of the pack and have the focus slightly off him.  I think 12/1 would probably be about right.  On another note why do we ever bother betting before the halfway point?  I have backed four this week.  Lewis @ 500/1, Rock @ 150/1, Overton @ 125/1 and Jacobsen @ 80/1.  They have all done well and are all within 4 shots of the lead yet I can back them all at very decent prices still and now know so much more about how they can handle the wind, course, pressure etc.  Is going to be an exciting weekend for sure.  Anyone care to lay me a price that no players are under par at the end of the tourney?

Charl Schwartzel @ 50s -2, 12/1 COME ON CHARL!!!
Nick Watney @ 35s GTFO you swongy freak
Justin Rose @ 50s +2, 125/1 Are you forever going to be an average golfer? I know you won't put up the numbers to sneak a place
Jeff Overton @ 125 -1, 50/1 Come on Jeff, I still believe you have the game just need more consistency
Rickie Fowler @ 100s PAR, 50/1, You've got a top 7 finish in you Rickie, become a man my son.
Dustin Johnson @ 60s -2, 16/1, Dustin you are my favourite golfer, you rock my world, I know your ill and you have been brilliant all things considering. I'm aware you will probably shoot 80 in the conditions tomorrow but I believe in you and will continue to believe in you. You will dominate the majors along with Rory, Rickie and Jason for years to come. Seize it.

All EW, mostly 7 places

Some going okay but everyone says Americans won't like the conditions tomorrow. They have rain in America tho....Heavy rain. One time lads, ONE TIME

If only Garcia could putt.

Must have been the best driving/iron performance you would ever see. Missed over 10 putts for birdie

Completely cold putting stroke

22-1, but no confidence he can sink anything!

Leading my stable is Martin "20 Places" Kaymer on -3
He's supported by:
Jason Day +1
Yang Level Par
Z Johnson Level Par
KJ +3

Hopefully Kaymer can do the business but it's that tight that even Day 5 off the lead could play himself into it.

I have a wee stable of thoroughbreds. And a mad outsider after his storming finish at Castle Stuart. All for enormous stakes.
GL all.

Martin Kaymer   26
Graeme McDowell   34
Padraig Harrington   44
Justin Rose   50
Fredrik Andersson Hed   330

I added Stricker after the start @ 22's which doesn't look very clever, and Gallacher @ 780, which was exciting for a while yesterday.
