Looks like everyone is taking a week off after The Open? Don't be so silly, another week another tourney here we go !!!!

Robbed the next little bit from a good poster on BF if anyone finds it useful

RBC Canadian Open :

"Firstly as I'm sure everyone is aware this course was last used in 05 when it proved one of the toughest non major courses used all year even though conditions were perfect. Seasoned pro Calc came out on top, which coupled with the fact that Parnevik & Kelly finished high makes me think that there was a links type feel to parts of the course running by the the river bank.

In addition to that the greens are small meaning that accurate iron play & good ball striking will again be key. "

Ryan Moore @ 25 - Obvious Credentials here, finished T2 in 05
Chez Reavie @ 100- Has good FIR and GIR stats and decent recent form T16 & T5 in last two starts and didn't have to travel far last week.
Matt Mc Quillan @ 270- He's Canadian ......ehhhh.....ehhhh........thats about it really I did see his name appear on a leaderboard somewhere recently too!
Geoff Ogilvy @ 85 - Has really showed no form since coming back from injury, but I'm gonna take a flyer, no point waiting until he does something and his price tumbles, he's a class act, form has to arrive soon.

Good Luck

A couple of bets for me this week in the Ricoh Women's British Open at Carnoustie:

H-K Seo @ 66/1 ew, and Sandra Gal @ 125/1 ew.

Carnoustie is reknowned as the toughest course on the men's Open rota so this could get interesting...

Rollins, Reavie and De Jonge this week, gl all.

De Jonge joint leader after day 2 , played like a spaz yesterday, he apparently had good Day 3 scoring stats too, sigh.

Sigh, De Jonge had a 7 footer on the last to get himself in the play off, following on from a T4 from Ogilvy last week, I'm feeling a tad unlucky.

But I'm gonna keep knocking on that door.

Anyone got involved this week on the Bridgestone?

Couple for me early.  Hunter Mahan @ 33/1 simply for the course record and taking a chance on Darren Clarke @ 120/1.  He has a decent record here having won once and finished 3rd in his pomp and finished 6th a couple of years ago.  Hoping his Open victory and playing with Tiger will work in his favour.  Considering a couple of others too.

I thought there would be more hype around this event considering a certain Mr Woods is taking part.

Anyway so far I have ...

Gary Woodland @ 50
Jason Day @ 42
Rickie Fowler @ 50
Stewart Cink @ 110

Looking to get on Schwartzel and Ogilvy too but I'm holding out for slightly better, I will see tomorrow.

Just Sergio for me this week, he looks oustanding value on a real ball-striker's course @ 46.
