the jockey wants lockign up for his treatment on that horse, it really made me upset the amount of abuse he gave it, i was emotionally distraught when i saw the replay.

Whenever I see horse races it always looks like they're getting whipped to shit by the jockeys. Few people have commented on how bad this was - is there anywhere it can be re-watched?

At The Races. You have to register to watch replays.

In future jockeys won't need to use whips - they'll just threaten the horse with 'the Newbury grass' and the horse will run quicker.

There could be a chance we all over exaggerating a bit. I've just watched the replay a few times on the racing post website and the jockey whipped the horse 12 times (which is a lot) but the jockey of the 2nd horse whipped his horse 17 times during the race.

I think it looks worst on ours because the action appears aggressive, which is surprising given Toby Atkinson was by far the most experienced jockey in the field.

Perhaps its the nature of the beast a bit aswell, a class 6 apprentice handicap, i dont know.
