£140 people at £5 per pop is going to be a nightmare to manage and I doubt you'll get that many people willing to do it.
Why don't 20-30 of us just stump up £20 each a month and then others can donate as and when they wish with whatever amounts they like?

Please see recent posts elsewhere. Tikay has dropped his objection to a paypal button. However there is a hitch I am having to resolve. Someone linked a paypal acc to the blonde bank acc in 2006 and not sure who yet! Until then its sponsorship, bank donations or persuade dtd!

why dont you wait 3 months until they have donked off another £10/20k in overlays and then they will probably be willing to get blonde on board like the old days? If they dont then the reasons why they dont want to pay for the updates anymore are obviously not business related as it wouldnt make sense.

tikay said the other day he was ok with the paypal idea if it's what people want to do, Tighty is trying to get the details as there's already an account, keep up people
I think the question isn't Can we fund them, it's Should we fund them ??
It's a valid question. I like reading the DtD 300 updates. I don't care about the event itsself in the same way that I don't care about the EPT. There are more blondes playing the DtD300 and I like to keep up-to-date with their progress...
On the other hand; If DTD is losing money on the 300 because they don't have the updates going on (not sure if this is actually the case) then surely that's DTD's problem?
I like reading the updates and don't mind paying a 5'er a month for them...I don't want to pay for DTD's advertising budget for this event though, it shouldn't be up to blonde readers to ensure DTD gets enough runners for this event. (if you know what I mean)
Maybe the solution is a combination of these donations providing a percentage of the updates cost, and DTD paying for the rest?

Coincidentally, I was given a dontions towards "any blonde Update" yesterday, & I had planned to start a thread today saying "OK, there's £40 in the kitty, anyone else wants to make a pledge, fine, you owe me, pay me directly or indirectly, via third parties, whenever." The very worst that can happen is that a few pledges go unpaid, & that won't kill me.
The Paypal objection by me? I can't recall my objection, stubborn pride probably, but I accepted a month or so back that I'm fine with it. But Tighty then had trouble sorting out the Paypal Accoun, for a variety of obsure reasons.
Anyway, what the hell, I'm gonna start the Thread, & if it dies a death, well, nothing is lost.
PS - I don't need Chili on my case, ffs, she's like a nagging Mother-in-law.

i really love the updates but why are we going to help advertise DTD out our own pockets?? If coke cola sales fell by 50% would ITV then them have an advert on tv for free? The last two £300 deepstacks have fallan in numbers i really thing this is cos off the updates not been around anymore!

In the scale of things, the big numbers that DTD deal in ,and given the good pts made above........ £650 is surely a no brainer.
I know Tikay and Tighty say 100% there is no reason behind the scenes, but I can't see the logic.

Set up new account for this purpose and link a new paypal account to it? I know banks aren't too keen on opening new accounts these days but should be manageable?

Who said we are advertising DTD? I get enjoyment out of reading about Boshi folding his way to day 2, how many breakfasts Red has had or George spectacularly blowing a massive stack so would be prepared to pay something towards them. We are talking about an amount of money most of the people on here would never notice and probably tip a taxi driver more than that. I also think it is probably in most of their interests to see DTD thrive. I am not the biggest fan of the place to be honest but compared to what we have on offer from the Casino's in this country it would make sense to see it continue to operate (not suggesting it is in any threat of not doing so but continual overlays can't help)

One bank account is fine, easily recorded. Will need to merge threads when at home!

I think saying the reason DTD numbers are down for the deepstack is due to the lack of updates is a stretch too far. More likely because they have a £500 event next weekend and people can't afford to play both
Who really thinks "I fancy going to play this £300 event today" "oh no forget it, there's no updates online"?
