If anyone feels as though €10 is too much to pay for tournament that is going to run over that many days, and will be run like clockwork, they don't deserve to play it.
Surely €10 is the minimum any cardroom needs to charge to cover their costs for any tournament?

I cant remember the figure but didnt Simon Trumper say they could easily have gotten about 1400 for the first one, with the interest that was shown in the final day or two?

Would you bet against them covering the guarantee?

What do people think is the average amount of driving time the average punter is prepared to put in to play a one day tournament? I cant see many people wanting to stop over in Notts except for the Friday day 1s, so I reckon it will come down to this sort of question. Nottingham being on the M1 and about as central as you could ask, I think there is a huge radius of people potentially for the earlier day1s, assuming people would be prepared to drive say 2.5 hours there, 2.5 hours back on average.

the 1st Grand Prix, which I updated, poker clubs from places like Ipswich and Bristol sent mini bus loads, all kitted out in club clothing etc
It was clearly a huge thing for them to be playing at DTD rather than pubs and when one guy from Ipswich went deep on the second day all his mates were railing him, hard
It's a different market from the usual DTD MTTs.
To answer your question I think 2-3 hour travel times would be regarded as perfectly feasible and puts a lot of the country in reach from Nottingham
I would imagine the last Day 1 would sell out v quickly, as people try travelling try not to have to go there/back and there/back again in a couple of days

Tikay should organise some Sky Poker satellites/minibuses, that seems like the target audience right there.
