lol...me too paul. cant understand why friday is so popular. very late finish and early start when they see the numbers making it through to saturday. simon is never wrong with his number then just realized they lost 5/6ths of the field on day 1 this weekend with a bigger 15k starting stack

i and i suspect many others finish work early on a Friday
means no time off work suspect that's why Friday is popular

better to be knackered for work the next day than for the most important game in your life (to 90% of the field). wp this weekend H. saw you mentioned a bit in the blog. agree totally and that is why deepstack is so popular. weekend event and first weekend after most guys had their wages put in and can sneak a bit out before the wife notices

The Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix III

Well on course to break poker records yet again, Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club are not just aiming to break the current record of 1058 entrants, they’re gearing up for an incredible 1,600 entrants!

Confident in the event’s popularity, the club has guaranteed the prizepool at €80,000, which equates to 1,600 registrations at €50 each. If less than 1,600 people enter, the prizepool will remain at €80K. If more than 1,600 people enter, the prizepool will increase. Either way, there’s phenomenal guaranteed value, for a modest €50 entry.

Buy-in: €50 + €10

Chips: 10,000

Clock: 30 / 40 min levels

Prizepool: €80,000 GTD

Type: Texas Hold Em, Freezeout

The tournament is being held between Monday 16th May and Sunday 22nd May. To accommodate the huge field, the first round (Day 1) will be spread across the first 5 days, starting at 7pm each night. Players can choose which Day 1 they want to play…

Monday           Day 1a

Tuesday           Day 1b

Wednesday     Day 1c

Thursday         Day 1d

Friday              Day 1e

Remaining players from each day will then return on Saturday for Day 2, and again for those remaining, into Day 3, the final day on Sunday.

The event is open to ALL PLAYERS. To register, you must have an Online Account with Dusk Till Dawn’s Online Poker Room, as buy-in can only be done through your online account.

There are currently 437 direct buy-ins, and a grand total of 210 satellite winners, taking the total number of entrants to 647 runners. The Grand Prix II, which took place last January, saw 811 players battle it out for the €81,100 prizepool. Dusk Till Dawn are well on the way to doubling this number, and swamping the current UK record.

Hi All

Day 1e Friday is nearly sold out, just 57 seats remaining.

Day 1d has 333

Day 1c has 347

Day 1b has 335

Day1a has 309

Bare in mind although the guarantee is for 1600 runners we have capacity for 405 a day so already 644 seats sold, we are expecting seats to start selling a lot faster over the next 5 days so will keep this thread updated.

€50 Buy in, €80,000 guaranteed, 10,000 chips, 30 min clock Day 1, 40 min clock Day 2 / Final Day.

Full Details Here: http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/grandprix

Cheers

Its impressive you are looking at that many numbers for this event. Wouldn't have thought so, but as has been mentioned before amateurs who would enjoy the experience of going to a big poker club may be flocking in their hundreds to play such an affordable event. Love it.

This is exactly us! Me and a couple of mates coming down for the Friday. Have a go at an affordable live tournament and pray that my pairs hit live as they do on here!

Got to win something some time to start paying Titanium back his investment!
