@milligan
Structure here
http://www.dusktilldawnpokerclub.com/tournamentstructure.php
I believe this is Festival Structure so Saturday starts at Level 11 800/1600/200
I suspect some short stacks may choose not to return for Day 2

Hi Guys
Here is my first daily report from the Grand Prix.
Day 1A of the Grand Prix III has come to a close, after 10 x 30 minute levels, the 296 runner field has been reduced to 70 players who will be returning for day 2 on Saturday. The average stack is 42,285 and the current chip leader is Michael Holmes with 137,100. There were 44 online qualifiers who chose to play day 1A who each received a Golden Chip at the start of play, which would entitle them to an additional £5000 should they make the final table. Eight of which have made it through to day 2. Dusk Till Dawn already holds the record for the biggest tournament field in the UK at 1058 set at the UKIPT. The guarantee for the Grand Prix III is 1600 players, and with 4 day 1’s to go Friday is already sold out and the current number of entries is 1185, so our previous record will be smashed.
The atmosphere in the club was fantastic tonight with everyone saying what an amazing experience the Grand Prix is with the opportunity to play a low buy in event with a deepstack structure and a huge prizepool. If you wish to join the action and play Tuesday to Thursday you can buy in online up until 6pm each day, there are already 183 registered for tomorrow and we expect at least 300.
Cheers

What are the blinds at plz?
lol. they are trying to run the biggest game in europe and you have to ask dumb ass stuff like this. doubt they have time to answer so i will help em out..... the blinds are the forced bets that the players are required to make each round before the cards are dealt.. the player to the left of the dealer button is the small blind and the player to his left is the big blind.
well done Simon. you and the team just keep performing miracles and the club just goes from strength to strength.
love the idea of only 2 seats gtd for the monthly deepstack on line now. saves a lot of money on the overlay for the 5 seats gtd you had and it means the cream rises to the top and the luck boxes find it tougher to get in cheap now.
i got my seat last night , thanks very much jason herbert
Lol. Mrs Herbert with another highly informative post… I always wondered why the dealer kept taking chips of me two hands every round.
lol. just small potatoes compared to the chips the other players take off you every round

Grand Prix III Day 1B has come to a close. There are now 1,321 players who have entered the event, and 258 took their chance today.
At the end of level 10 just 60 remain with an average stack of 43,000, these players will return for day 2 on Saturday at 1pm. Our day 1B chip leader with 120,600 was Amandeep Atwal.
There were just 25 Golden Chip holders today, only 4 of which have made it through to Day 2, meaning so far there are just 12 in with a chance of winning that extra £5,000.
We need another 280 players to buy in over the next 2 days to hit the 1,600 runner guarantee, with means currently there is a €14,000 overlay. We anticipate another 250-300 runner field tomorrow, with currently 188 registered, and are hoping that Thursday will sell out at 405.

excellent work simon. are you suprised that no one has made a final holding the golden chip in previous grand prix or deepstacks. i find it un believable especially as they have had to show at least a small amount of ability in winning the chip in the first place

I am a little surprised nobody has done it yet. But i can also see why it could be hard. I FTd the last GP and a good majority of my chips came from just making the lives of GC holders miserable. Unfortuantely i luck boxed myself a Golden Chip into this one at the first time of trying. Will be expecting a lot of light 3 bets in my direction but i will just jam it in ya eye. I think they sould give you them quietly as you swipe in for the day, to take the edge away from it.
I'm gonna break the duck. You read it here first.. That guy who ran deep in the last one said he had it on display the whole time and used it to let oppos know he must have the goods. Might give it a go..

hope you do it mate. would be excellent. i have advised my runners to pocket the thing because of people trying to take advantage of the fact they have the chips. works both ways tho.

I'm not sure about this. Turbo rebuys surely aren't a way to identify people with the game to win a deepstacked 1000+ runner live tournament?
I'm not knocking the satellites, nor those who have won seats through them, but is it not true that the strategies required are different?
