playing pokerstars 500 seat 55dollar. im 6th place with 16k on button with  blinds 250/500 i raise to 1250 bb calls flop    bb who is 13.5k min raise i call turn  he checks i raise to 2500 he calls river  he checks again i raise to 7k he all in im commited bb has the flush. did i do anything wrong if so what should i have put him on the flush draw

I dont bet the river when the flush hits, and certainly not that heavily, you only get called by the flush or AK, and you beat anything that folds, so that bet will only ever cost you chips imo

i dont agree with this. the pot is 9kish by the river and villain has 8.5k left. Checking behind is definitely awful. I think you can bet/fold 3 or 4k? I think he's never gonna c/r allin anything but flushes and then you don't lose value from hands that might call it off (mainly 2pair hands or hands like AJ, and KQ)

Does anyone fold the flop in these situations to a minbet?

Hey dnorthfy, for future reference I think hands posted here would get more accurate feedback if they were layed out a bit clearer, I personally found it really hard to know what was going on

thanks for the feedback, the reason i didnt check the river was because i felt it left me open to be possibly taken off the best hand ( how wrong i was ) but in hindsight i think cambridgealex 3/4k suggestion would have been the better move allowing me to get away from the hand still in descent nick,
