Shame, if true.

Empire is a terrible venue, but rather it was in England than France!

Pretty bad considering France ringfences their players and has one of the strictest regulatory stances on poker, while the UK is one of the most liberal gambling places in the world.

I did think that the WPT-EPO-EPT-WSOPE all in one month was way too much, just a shame that the fanciest one had to go. I hope this means they have the WPT at a different time of year as a result so people make a bigger deal of it.

Sad that it is leaving the UK, not sad that it's leaving The Empire, pardon the imperialist pun.

I cannot think of a worse Venue than The Empire for such a Tourney, with players all over the place, all scrunged up in little alcoves & side-rooms. It cannot possibly enhance the brand.  It (The ME) carries a £10k price tag, it's not a Tenner Rebuy.

Really they should have it in a new European venue every year anyway, make it like a world cup of poker

The France poker scene is absolutely booming at the moment, this could well double the main event size imo.

900 in Deauville with 55% of the field being French.

The partouche in cannes was amazing, if it's not in London then my second choice would be Cannes or Monte Carlo but as the EPT already has their flagship leg there I'd like to see Cannes how something big.
