I thought this too so looked it up. The saying comes from a song, but apparently it's true too Scrub that, it doesn't, its just a song, the rain falls mainly elsewhere

I thought this too so looked it up. The saying comes from a song, but apparently it's true too i know the song - i'm a girl. i thought it was 'falls mainly on' rather than 'stays mainly in' but i've checked and i am wrong. carry on.
