Id really like to hear comments from the HSMTTers on this on here. I know flushy has bashed "her" in the past.
Ive just been thru the thread - and the statement by pokerstars is a joke. In short "there have been a few occasions where it wasnt Peachy on the acct, oh yes and one of them was a 2nd place in a WCOOP"
GFY stars - either we can all cheat or we cant - let us know! No double standards please! Id gladly hand my acct over to a better player when down to 3 tables if i thought they were more likely to get me a bigger cash! But I never have!
(oh yes and the Pokernews pod cast is worth a listen - no way that person being interviewed player HSMTTs - and if she does she is on one sick level!)

PokerStars has no reason to believe or suspect that anyone other than Mer Brit has been operating the PeachyMer account except for a few isolated incidents. In these situations, 5 or fewer in number, it was within the Terms of Service for another player to play her tournaments.
In one case, her internet went out and another player covered her hands for a short period of time (under 30 minutes) while she changed locations.
In a couple of other cases (2-3), she had an emergency and had to leave her computer. Another player finished play for her. One of these cases was a WCOOP event where her 'substitute' went on to finish 2nd. In this case, Mer had to leave her computer fairly early in the tournament and with a below average stack.
These are not details that PokerStars would normally reveal about a player's account, but Mer has provided her permission in this case.

There is some level of extra scrutiny that any member of Team PokerStars must accept. It's a part of the job. PokerStars also holds team members to high standards and has done a thorough review prior to signing Mer to the team. PokerStars found no reason to conclude that she had violated PokerStars rules or Terms and Conditions and no post in this thread has changed that.
PokerStars did ask Mer to stop posting in this thread as it wasn't really a Well anymore and things were getting quite out of hand. Mer cannot offer proof that there is a certain point in time after sundown at which she would tweet that it's 'really dark' outside. She cannot prove the exact time that she left the hospital three years ago. She did provide explanations of what happened on those days and did so with a positive attitude and without complaint; this is the most that could be expected of someone in this situation.
Mer recorded an interview with Phil Galfond on February 16th in which she answered many of the questions about her past that are brought up in this thread. Mer also answered some poker questions for the benefit of some of the posters in this thread. The audio interview is expected to be released before the end of next week.
Mer is without a doubt a controversial figure. She has strong opinions on many topics and is not afraid to express them. It's understood that there will be some criticism as she will not be revealing the name on her birth certificate nor explaining why her privacy is so important to her.
However, while she is private with these details, she is quite open about much of her life. This thread has certainly demonstrated that she is not shy about sharing her daily activities on twitter or in her blog. She's quite an active person away from the tables.
Mer plays high stakes MTTs and succeeds with an uncommon approach to the game. There are very few women amongst the ranks of recognized successful high stakes online MTT players, but she is one.
Some initial skepticism is not unexpected. However, there are multiple quite respected and successful members of the community posting in this thread to vouch for Mer as they have gotten to know her personally. Over the coming weeks and months, the entire community will get to know Mer better through her Team Online activities and interviews. Perhaps some of those who doubt her now will come to change their minds in time.

Surely that means it wasn't cheating? Yeah there was a thread on here somewhere. Your allowed to let someone else take over if you cant avoid having to leave for an emergency or there is a problem with your internet. |

Still working my way through the 2p2 thread, stars have really messed up here imo. I am not sure what has or hasn't been revealed later in the thread but suffice it to say she (he?) is a PR disaster, they may as well have sponsored the Chinese bot ring.
