Ironically, zeurrr’s loss looks set to become the other players gains, who will now likely receive a share of his redistributed winnings.
Don't see how they can do that. There are complications over the final table chop/ did he play any other games/ tournies etc.
I'd like to know what stars standard procedure is for this situation. I'd guess that they just keep the money.
Ummm I would have thought the fact there was a chop makes it easier to split the money up.
10/1 they keep the money.
I do wish you wouldn't rush so agressively to defend stars at any opportunity. I questioned what their normal procedure was - do you know? Offering odds about what they will do in this situation doesn't answer that question.

couldn't give a fk about this kid, hope it hurts losing what he thought he'd won.
The fact is i'd also like to see others severely punished; but that will never happen in this kind of industry especially with some of the companies that have power in it.
I don't think he should get away with it. And he should have the money taken off him. But he's 17, he's not hurt anyone, he hasn't cheated (in terms of colluding or ghosting etc etc) and it has to be heartbreaking for him. You have to be a bit cold to not feel for him imho.
As soon as I hit 30 I turned into a right miserable bastard and instantly hated anyone younger than me, I honestly dont feel sorry for him. He knew the rules, if he had any common sense at all he should have known Stars were incredibly hard to pull the wool over especially when he is bragging on a forum as himself. Also serves him right for being greedy during the chop negotiations.
Im a right miserable bitter jealous old sod me

No I don't and I went to great lengths to make sure my point wasn't getting confused. He has not excercised an unfair advantage over other people at the table. Is that better for you?

Sod that, kids gotta learn there are rules to abide to in this world, this is a great way of doing just that, my only beef is that the higher profile players you mention appear to have got away with it.
Bullshit- loads of people defy the rules all the time. The crime was getting caught.

I know people will say its his own fault but its still fucking sick. 2$ satty. 59k player and 500k confiscated. I do feel for the lad. As someone as already said he is not the only one. Mike mcdonald, Annette, Andy Mcleod all crushing and had won a significant amt of money before getting caught- if they ever did. This kid looks like he had got a lifetime score by hook or by crook and stars is going to take it.
so you dont want the games that you play regulated?

Nice dude. Kick a guy while he is down. I feel some sympathy for him and I make a distinction between playing underage and out and out ripping people off.

I know Barry. Im not condoning it. However Im sure when we were 14-17 we all did things we not supposed to do- drink, smoke etc etc. He obv didnt expect to bink- probably pad his micro roll a bit and suddenly its all out of control and he is at the final.
Rules are rules. I agree with the fact that stars have taken his money but I also feel sympathy for this guy.

I remember when Nashwan won the Derby, he was follwed home by two 500/1 shots.
Someone had a £1 tricast at Ladbrokes.
5/4 x 500/1 x 500/1 should have paid tens of thousands.
No tricasts in non handicaps, Laddies offered to pay a forecast as a goodwill gesture (about £800 if i remember correctly).
He refused and went to the papers, who discovered he was only 17.
Ladbrokes gave him his pound back.

pissy and horses are all good! I don't mind at all.
I just think it silly how we have to have rules and regulations when the prizes and outlay are getting so high and yet everyone thinks hes being hard done by for playing underage..... the rules apply to everyone (or at least they should, it's a shame that this industry has always been so shady that it can continue to have so much dodgyness and people see it as normal).
Also Bedi I have no sympathy what so ever, people who run good and win tournies can gtfo!

I'm with george on this.
Give peachymer a sponsorship despite being a multiaccounter, yet take half a mill off a kid who played underage. Harsh.
