Quick question from a friend who had a home game when something happened they weren't sure how to deal with. Gave him my opinion but said I would ask on here as I am likely wrong.
3 players in pot checked round on flop. Turn dealt 1st player bets 2nd player Shoves then when they are waiting for the 3rd player to act 2nd player decides to table his hand. No idea why as he seems to have the nuts at that point so probably alcohol induced.
What is the ruling here please?

as this is a home game I guess you should have a "home rule" - however assuming this is the first time it has happened.......................
hand is live - others can act accordingly (would seem strange to insist on a subsequent penalty in a home game other than a drinking forfeit if alcohol is being consumed)
assuming he wasnt all in - hand still live. My preference here is that he can continue with the hand without aggresive action - although recent posts have suggested that current thought is that he can continue to play the hand (but with it face up)

There's no ruling to make. The hand just plays out but everyone knows what cards he has. Doesn't matter if he's all in or not. If he wasn't all in then the next street would play as normal. Penalty wise not much you can do in a home game. Give him some horrible alcohol concoction or something
