Bump again.

i haven't given up as such ...but again the motivation thing is a struggle

in the weeks leeding up to my walk i had a proper goal i really wanted to be 15 stone and more importantly i wanted to complete the challenge for my charity.

i enjoyed posting my diet... and it helped so much to the fact i don't think i would of completed it without doing it.

during the walk i pushed myself to the absolute limit  and really really suffered because of this i was limping around two weeks after !!

and something in the back of my brain keeps saying well you can eat this because its over you done it....its strange.

i really appreciate the help you have all given me especially you Matt but i think i now need a new challenge to give me the motivation.

i am still watching what i eat for e.g

i only have one sugar in my tea ....little things
i have a proper lunch .....a chicken or tuna sandwich (wholemeal bread)
a proper meal with the family
bananas for snacks

but i do have the odd chocolate bar and odd bag of crisps

one of the main things i have got out of this is that i know i can lose weight if i put in 100% effort..... i think one week i lost 5 pounds or something ..now that is massive.

i got to admit its nice to be able to have an ice cream and not have to post the fact ...lol

.....oh i almost forgot George your a tw@t

It's going to be kind of difficult for us to win Lee, I suspect you have inside information.

i was thinking .....
no one else apart from me knows my weight at the min... you all assume the worst and so you should it ain't pretty.
i have weighed myself this morning and took a photo of scales
how about ..

£5 per guess i will need a min of ten guesses guesses to be made via p.m

closest to weight gets £50

any more than ten guesses and the balance goes onto my sponsorship page.

fuck off George

You mean like sponsorship for getting fatter rather than for getting thinner?  Wink

I'd guess you're heavier than you should be.  Am I right?

I think you need to enter another event - a walk, run, climb, something.  That's what I have to do to keep me motivated, otherwise it's all too easy to say "I'll do it tomorrow" or find other excuses.  When you know tomorrow is another day closer to the date of the challenge and you know you can't 'cram' it all in at the end, then you find yourself getting out of bed at a silly time to do a run, you find it easier to eat well - and the benefit of that is that you feel better too!

So, what's it gonna be?

Well done Andrew. I might try that. Do I need to buy that book or is there an online guide?

How did you get your bikes to the coast and back from the other coast? (That part sounds like a pain in the posterior)

There is a few different ways to do it, we had a big group so had a minibus carry our bags to the next B+B each night and then they took us back to the start on the last day with our bikes in a trailer at the back.

Guys in small groups normally just get the train back across after, of course if your a glutton for punishment you can cycle back, 2 in our group did that  Shocked

As regards the guide just look online, the route is pretty well marked most of the way, you just need to be aware what signs your looking for as there is more than one route and it splits at various points en-route.
