Local casino MTT, self deal.

cutoff and button limp, Sb completes BB checks at 100/200.  Flop is checked around, turn brings a 3rd club, cutoff bets 800, button calls, blinds fold.  River isnt a club and completes a board TX768 (cant remember exact order of the board but it was this by the river with 3 clubs on the turn).

River goes check check, button flips his hand face up saying "I missed my flush draw", cutoff flips QQ (lol) and the dealer passes him the pot.  The second the pot is awarded the dealer notices that the other players A9 makes a straight, nobody else at the table had noticed, the player himself hadnt noticed.  Dealer had pulled in the cards but they were all still face up and pretty clear who the cards belonged to, which was the winning hand etc

QQ guy refuses to hand over the pot saying the pot has been awarded already and the A9 hand has been mucked as the cards have touched the flop.

Whats the ruling?

I believe the decision can be reversed as long as the next hand hasn't started ( or it is action has taken place on the next hand). So pot MUST be turned over to the A9 straight guy.

This. It's easy to rebuild the hand so pot to go to A9man plz. He's showed his cards and cards speak.

I was the dealer, I agree with this though.  When A9 guy said he missed I took his word for it that he didnt have the winning hand.  When I saw it and pointed it out, QQ guy said the pot was awarded and asked for a ruling, ruling went in his favour.  Was pretty sure it was a correctable error, Id have been really pissed if I was the A9 guy

Dealer should pay the A9 player the money out of his pocket and agree to be his bitch for the next 7 days.
