DeGale could potentially be really good.

Fair play to them both having the fight this early into their careers.

When did DeGale transform from the next Frank Bruno to the next Naseem Hamed (as a talker not a fighter?). He is way too thick to pull off the talker role.  It all looks a bit fake but British boxing does need a spark like this.

DeGale is a very classy fighter, if he doesnt get drawn into a scrap I fancy him to win, it wont be a knockout if he does.

Definitely staged.

Some of the comments are a bit cringe-worthy, from both sides.  Like children who are imitating adults, but can't find the words they want to use to make a decent argument so resort to name-calling.

But, it'll be a decent fight.

LOL. Definitely staged...

I know Groves personally and i can 100% guarantee this is no way whatsoever staged!

Groves did Degale in the ABAs, and the winner of that fight should really have gone to the Olympics... this was when they both boxed out of the same gym, after the loss Degale refused to go back there. Apart from that in short, they just don't actually like each other.

I do admit some of it has been a bit childish but if you have watched ringside Groves turned up in a suit and did his best to rise above it. Unfortunately on other appearances DeFail brought him down to his level. With all the Ugly kid, smelly breathe etc comments.

Degale can barely string a sentence together and just makes himself look like a mug when he tries to outwit George.

It has got so heated they have actually bet the purse on it now.

Groves has been sparring really hard out when he was in Miami with southpaws who would piss on Degale, you might have seen him doing press conferences with filthy black eyes. He has also worked on the mishaps of the Kenny Anderson fight which he still won by stoppage.

Gonna be an absolute BANGER, i can't wait!! About to crack open my first drink.

Obviously i am massively biased and am betting with my heart here, the price they have Degale is redic insulting to Groves!!! Can't see George being given the decision if it goes to points so I am on @4s to win my KO/TKO/Disqualification

At the end of the fight if Groves won Degale would show no respect and just go off sulking, but i don't think that would be the case if Degale won.

LETS GET READY TO RUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!

Errrrrr. yea. Would i pay to watch the fight built as the biggest event in British boxing since Benn v Eubank.... 22 wins between them, zero losses where the two have a genuine hatred for each other. One Ohhhhhhh has to go. Tough choice....

Wlad Klitschko vs Haye July 2nd, might give that panto a miss.....

Would i pay to watch Cleverly vs Kuziemski or the rest of the undercard in isolation? no.

What do you want a fight to have if you are going to pay for it?? or do you just never do ppv.

I know Degale should lay it off, Boxers are not known for their brains though.

i happily ppv regularly. i don't see any appeal to this - degale has only really fought jokers up to now and same for cleverly. You have to earn being able to sell PPV subscriptions and they haven't done anything yet. Try selling this level of fight in America, they'd laugh themselves silly.

I'm quite looking forward to it, doubt I'll PPV it though, I may, or I may find a stream somewhere.   On Groves to win, Groves in the 5th and DeGale in the 3rd for fun

100% agree with Cleverly and I agree with Degale fighting mainly jokers, apart from Paul Smith who is a very good fighter. Groves has dispatched a few that had never been beaten and put ppl down who had never touched the canvass. Obv we are not talking Pac man levels here, but I still think this fight should have been on a bigger bill, but in all honesty i think if it wasn't on the card then not one single person would get ppv for this. Why would you? The Main Event is a joke and the rest of the undercard is a joke, so they had to sell it somehow and they know a lot of people want to see this fight and have wanted to see it pretty much since the day they both turned pro. The fact that they are both unbeaten, hate each other, the bitter rivalry, the fact that the under dog has already beaten the fav and just their differing styles i think will make for a great fight. I can't wait. Hope its not just my bias and loyalty to Groves blinding me on this one. Ding Ding.
