This really, really depends on how many chips everyone has got, and the payout structure of the comp. If 40k-man has only got you covered a little, I'd lean towards jamming.

you think he is folding?

I think he should be calling tight (swerving 22-88 perhaps, whereas without the bubble he'll call with some of those). Whether he will or not, I don't know, I've never met the geezer.

Oh and BTW, from MC's recent blog post I'd probably be getting a purple- I've definitely taken a few flips when I'd be better off just keeping my powder dry and laddering.

I'm now regretting this post- he's raised to 40k out of 90k hasn't he, so he's not folding. I am a mug.

his remaining stack is irrelevant - we only have 60k total - he has put in 40k

Yup. So the question is whether or not we were ahead. I'll reveal what I did and why later tonight or tomorrow.

The game exemplifies the worst aspects of capitalism that have made our country so great.

In a bigger comp I think this is a shove but 40k man always has it in these smaller comps

Fold

Thats pretty much what I came up wiith tbh, but I shoved anyway. He called with AK. 1st card was the Q.

I had this as really marginal, given how many chips I had, the blinds as well as the table dynamic.

Yup can pretty much GTD avg fish is thinking CL is abusing his chip stack and I will get him soon enough as they blind away. Just what  the rr considers a hand is another matter. AQs is not going to play that well against a fair ammount his range. If he had jammed instead of like min 3bet then I would prob be more inclined to call. So am pretty sure that this is a fold and wait and utilise some extra equity whne you get the chance to be first in.

I'm inclined to agree with the above reasoning, hence would fold in this spot.
