3 left in a Pokerstars 55+5 sit n go. (Payout 50%,30%,20%)

Blinds 100/200 antes 25 about 2 minutes left at that level.

You're on the button with AKo, you have 4.7k in chips and raise to 600.
Small blind, who has about 5.6k goes all-in. The big blind who has 3.2k calls.

Call or fold?

I'll tell you what happened sometime next year Smiley

to me this depends on the the type of player you are?

First off, Short stack is showing incredible strength here, by calling a raise and a reraise all-in, knowing theres a chance for you to get knocked out if you are going to call the SB's all-in, i would put him on QQ possibly

However, as i said it depends on the player ie:

1/ do you like to just climb one place higher in the cash - then you Fold

2/ do you like to go for the guts, now that youve made the money - then you Call

as long as you beat the SB you will still have a min of 1000 chips left

IF it were me, id call

Even if the Tall stack wins the lot you still take second place with more chips

The only way you can get put out third here, is if the short stack has the best hand and the tall stack the second best hand

The BB has the strenght.

I would fold, I put the BB (KK,AA, QQ) I put the SB on a medium pair .

Not necessarily. blinds only 100/200 if the big stack wins, he has slightly under 2-1 chip lead, but you have time...

2 minutes left of the level....

Does it go 150-300 next or 200-400 on stars? Either way on 4k, we have some problems playing raised pots.

Good point Nemesis. There's no better time for turning over a chip lead than heads up.

I always find useful players at this level (come the last 3) and to think you are still ahead is optimistic at best.

Have faith in your ability to outplay these guys and fold.Smiley

I'd probably fold as calling would leave you too short.

Don't forget that A-K is still drawing hand, so even if one of your opponent has a hand like 8-8, you're still going to be behind. Plus there's a chance the other guy holds one of your cards.

That's not to mention the possibility of aces v kings.

I say fold, and wait for a better opportunity. Both players are showing strength.

This was a hand that Tank and I were in, it was actually me with the AK. I folded cos I thought that lilg must have a monster to call a raise and a reraise all in. I still don't know if that was a good decision or not but at the time I was guessing that I was up against another Ace high kicker and a high pocket pair.

Aye, that's the hand in question. Posted it after getting Byron's consent.

Pretty much why I'd call here if it were me.

A win would pretty much cake me the tournament and the risk of picking up 3rd is minimal. If the big blind wins the hand, there's still 3k in the side pot for you to win off the small blind.

To be fair, the chap with A10 did call mighty quick, suggesting real strength.

If we're going to be playing each other a lot, interesting hands may develop again, please don't bother asking, just post em. I'm happy to have my hands commented on, it'll teach me stuff.

I would call here.

My reason is this, win this hand and 1st prize is yours.

I remember seeing a WPT event recently, with the c/l being in the same position with 3 left and made the call with A9. Hit the Ace and won the tourney.
