and behind me celtic, Greek Stein and Ben Vinson have played £5-5 NLHE through the night
Quite a big game apparently
DTD's 24 hour opening this weekend was always going to be a danger to GreekStein. Sadly the internet is unpoliced while he degens away

so our final 20 for the Monte Carlo. Who are they?
Julian Thew 23 6 958000
EPT winner, Twice GUKPT winner and Nottingham's own, Julian came off the better from a several hour battle with Tobty Lewis yesterday that concluded with Julian knocking Toby out, moving to the head of the chip counts and staying there. One of the nicest men in poker, though that copybook was blotted when he dropped a swearword on a blonde thread recently. This lead to Poker Stars dropping him as a UK pro. Karma then bit, as the DOJ threw the book at Stars.
Sunny Chattha 21 8 869000
Another very friendly guy, GUKPT winner and part of the renowned and successful Hit Squad. Been off my radar for a year or so but is back with a bang here, having been a chip leader since early Day 2. Superb player, great instincts, and really interesting to watch.
Waheed Ashraf 22 2 859000
Winner of the inaugural DTD Monte Carlo at the back end of 2009, Nottingham Tournament legend Wadey has been playing superb stuff. This is by his own admission but seriously, he has. Would be a very popular winner, especially with the detritus of the Nottingham poker underworld, who have their nipping strategies in place already.
Nicolas Mclellan 23 8 689000
4th in the 2009 GUKPT Manchester, his local event.
Laurence Houghton 23 1 633000
Online major winner rivermanl has long threatened to translate that to the live scene and he has two GUKPT final tables, and here he is knocking on the door again. Railed by vociferous friends, and hasn't taken a backward step against the likes of Thew for several levels
Sunil Mistri 22 4 567000
Northampton's Sunny Mistri is co-owner of What's On Poker. Winner of the Aspers Northampton festival recently and his battles with Ashraf yesterday were superb
Michael Fisher 22 6 549000
Online qualifying regular DTD tournament player, mixing it with the big boys
Fraser Bellamy 22 7 468000
Winner of the last Monte Carlo event and a DTD Deepstack before that. On low live volume Fraser has a wonderful record of success.
James Reid 22 5 397000
Bedford's Jim Reid has been a fixture on the UK festival scene for many years. Aggressive, and this can tend to spewy but there were no signs of that yesterday as he played solid poker. A fixture on the highish cash games on Stars, a result today is certainly overdue
Richard Grace 23 7 395000
New Zealander, with an understated table style. Brilliant THM database entry. More flags than outside the UN.
Jen-yue Chiang 21 7 307000
Haven't heard him say a word at the table for three days. Going for a fourth day, a record in poker, of monastic verbal denial today.
Danny Ball 21 5 293000
Another friendly guy. Don't know Danny really, apart from him seeming to knock around with the likes of Perrins. On blonde as danny b.
Louise Duffy 21 1 272000
London based lady player who made the final two tables of GUKPT London. Google tell me "Ambition: To get a big result this year. Have already qualified for Ladbrokes poker cruise main event and European Ladies Championships in May, and am going to start trying to qualify for the EPT events. Qualified for the WSOP main event last year"
Richie Allen 23 3 265000
Brash and ballsy London cheeky chappie who was chip leader after 1b. In a lot of pots, talks through the rest of them
John Eames 21 3 258000
Successful online and a successful transition to a predominantly live player with 3rd i n EPT Copenhagen and an EPT Vienna side event winner. Consistent with a rocky reputation. Well overdue a huge live title as the talent is there for all to see
Scott Montgomery 22 1 227000
Canadian Scott travelled to Nottingham with partner Annette Obrestad who is playing the big game. WSOP Event 36 winner last year and 5th in the WSOP 2008 final table, knocked out by eventual winner Peter Eastgate. A Full Tilt Pro.
Thomas Macdonald 22 8 215000
Another Online success story, Tom from Leeds has never been at the head of affairs here but is in there fighting. Finalist at GUKPT Walsall last year and winner of GCBPT Leeds in 2009.
David Dean 23 5 206000
Dixie is a London tournament and cash game veteran. Tallest poker player you will ever meet, and with a big build, he towers over the table with a physical presence. Gentle giant in person,a n aggressive terror on the table
Adam Wilkinson 21 6 183000
Festival staple fixture over many years, Adam was chip leader mid way through Day 2. GUKPT Newcastle finalist in 2007
Keiron Duncan 21 9 108000
Staying in the same bed and breakfast as me. £25 a night. Got to mind those expenses.
Now that, ladies and gentlemen of the good ship blonde, is a line up of our dreams
Please join me at 2pm for the action

I don't know Perrins at all and had never spoken to him until day 1. He seemed a friendly guy too though.
Cheers for the introduction anyway Tighty.

Would like to see two winners today.
Julian to take this down and Stoke City to beat Bolton.
