On Sky and I'm still dreaming of the day they sort out their HH's. Villain is Dan Brown, part of the Sky Team, I think he's a bit spewy post flop, he's usually super aggro preflop but he's been playing fairly tight during this session and generally sees me as a solid player and we've rarely clashed on the two tables we're playing. I'm playing £125 and he easily covers.

Anyway, UTG opens to £3, we call in UTG+1 with . Villain calls on button (he hasn't flatted many hands preflop) and big blind calls.

Flop:

Check to me, I bet £8, Villain is the only caller.

Turn:

I check, Villain bets £21.38 (3/4 pot) I call.

River:

I check, Villain bets £35.63 (1/2 pot) I fold.

Thought on all streets please.

Looks like hes floating and taking it away. Once I check the turn I dont think I'm going to fold. AK he 3b's pre, we have so hard for him to flop a good flush, 55 is in his range but I guess he would raise flop if he has very aggro image. Like a9/k9s kind of hands but  his value range here seems really weird.

Either check fold turn or call river.

what does he peel flop with that we ever beat?

if hes in spew mode then snap peel, but in general 2/3 pot = value lol

Why are we checking the turn after betting flop? If I was Villain I'd be sitting there thinking OK he's bet 8 into me on the flop but now checked, this pots mine for the taking.

My line may well be messed up but post flop, I'd be betting as played, firing 2nd bullet or check raising on turn. Hate the turn call tbh.

You only beat a bluff and i don't see how he can get to the river with air especially when you have the NFD and he has called the flop with two players behind. Most players arn't turning their hand into a bluff on the river at .5/1 so no need to over think things. Your hand looks exactly like what it is therefore when he half pots the river i don't think he's trying to fold out your range. In future i would look to maybe be a little more deceptive so that the decent players at your level won't have such an easily read on your range. I don't mind a check on this flop as we are never going to get 3 streets of value.
