i loved that sir alan thinks that they maybe able to do some business with susan but told jim he did n't need a salesman. the comment about it being more like dragons den was  about right. i wonder what vincents business plan would have been. all for plans were pretty meh.

Interviews were shit - because they weren't actually interviews - they were discussions about the business plans, which we knew nothing about.

Even Lord Sugar revealed how screwed up the format was on You're Hired by revealing that he and Tom had already decided to ditch the chair thing and instead work with the curved nail file.

Abs bullshit.

From watching the Final Five programme I get the feeling that Helen was a bit of a party girl back when she was younger, so the whole 'my work is my life' thing is just overcompensating to look more professional.

As everyone has said, Helen would have walked it on the criteria of any of the other Apprentice series'

In the end he went on a hunch that Tom would come up with some products, seemed seduced by the Walmart story and is prepared to throw £250k at it

Horses for course, if he'd wanted someone to manage an existing business, different winner.

Still think all four business plans were extraordinarily weak from what we could see

The whole process is flawed as a recruitment process.  But it's not really that is it?  It's a comedy series doubling as a great bit of PR/advertising for 'Sugar' on prime-time TV.

Was quite surprised that all the "business plans" we so poor.  Helen's idea of jobbing out services was just ridiculous; the interviewer who mentioned that if you have to remember to phone someone to phone your dentist you may as well do it yourself was spot on.  No one is going to pay someone to sit in for them for the shopping to arrive. For a someone so good in the tasks, this was a massive disappointment.

Susie's was comical and at first thought she'd got a good idea.  Then came the paying by cash revelations and then that her empire was infact a market stall that was doing ok.   Factor in product testing etc etc and I had to feel a bit sorry for her.  Expect the Inland Revenue to be paying her a visit in the near future.

Jedi's plan was good, except it was for not for profit and I can't really see colleges and schools paying for elearning when they should be poking people in the general direction of jobs anyway.

Tom, bless him.  I'd employ to in an instant.  Don't like his business plan as such, but he's too creative to let some other company that brings products out snap him up.

At one point I really did think he was going to suggest Tom and Helen go in to business together.  MyPy was brilliant, that would be a good business I think.

Helen did look nice all scrubbed up

Quite enjoyed the series but the quality of the business ideas was a let down.

Well it's all over. Nearly 50 Pages keeping on topic and good fun.

Good Luck to Tom. I'm sure Lord Sugar knows his stuff.

Some of the accompanying ideas for selling the chair were a bit small ball for this. For a fledgling business it wasn't that bad, how else would a one man band get it out there ?

Clearly ergonomics is a growth market with plenty of potential. RSI anyone ?  Bad backs are a problem for those that sit for long periods. We've seen chair threads on here and we've seen large sums mentioned with regards to getting a good one. There is potential although it might be a slow burner and hard work.

Helen's business plan was terrible.Targetting the middle to high earners when many of them have secretarys/pa's as well as credit/charge cards with a good/free concierge service. It actually makes me doubt these were discussed in the selection process because she would never have made tv with that.

Jim didn't have a business or a plan. Probably still had more chance than Helen.

Susan had an idea with some history. Naive. How she wasn't in the final 2 is beyond me (given the choices in the final 4 after business plans).

An interesting twist on the apprentice. It may take another series to make up my mind. It does appear that, unlike Trump in the USA, it is very hard to stay With Lord Sugar as an employee and this may have prompted the change.
