Days 28, 29 and 30
- I'm a little miffed. Stayed up all day yesterday waiting on my pc to come (again) and it finally got delivered at 8pm. Well most of it anyway, the flingin' flangin' monitor has still not arrived.
Phoned them up this morning to give them an earful. That plan went awry when a softly spoken Irish girlie answered the phone and spoke to me in an apologetic tone
before
I was able to start my ranting.
She promised me the monitor today and I accepted that politely without demanding reductions etc. I felt a little dissatisfied at the end of the conversation. I wanted to shout at someone. You just can't get pissed off with a girl who sounds like Dervla Kirwan (Assumpta from Ballykissangel)
Can't wait to get the new set-up up and running. Although maybe the cards looking bigger on my big screen will just piss me off more when the wrong ones land on the flop, turn and ri-ri-river.
A daft amount of blank batches and no great ones in the last week, this perhaps pisses me off more than monitor delivery shananigans could. I'll be reviewing my play of the last 50 I played tomorrow when I have a fresh head. I think my plays been ok and I'm just going through an unlucky patch. If there are holes creeping into my game though, I'll need to plug them up fast.
Days 28, 29 and 30 Reults :
-$610.5
(+2685.3 total)
ROI : 8.6% (after 519 tournaments played)
Oh bum, a low point. We're in single figures for my ROI. In my last 100 games I've had more 4ths than 1st,2nds and 3rds combined. It'll be my bubble play that I'll specifically review. It just feels like I'm getting too many hands cracked and losing too many races.
I still believe I'm a 15% ROI player when I 4-table these. If I can't do something about this then I'll have to admit that I'm not as good as I thought I was. I can complain about bad luck all I like but there ain't no such thing in the long run and the numbers just don't lie.
I'd wager a fair chunk of dosh that my ROI will get bigger and things
will
turn around. However, I think today, is the lowest I've felt so far on my quest. I think my confidence might be waning.
It is my sincere hope that my next report will tell you all how my new pc has been baring me to better fortunes.

Just remember that the ROI will have up points and low points, you cant get an average of 15% without being low at some point - you'll get it back
