Eoghan is playing some great poker. If he makes it there is gonna be a great atmosphere by the second best railing nation in the world. Some of his mates are already looking into traveling arrangements and the cost of the ferry.

2011 World Series of Poker
Event #58: $10,000 Main Event

Level 31: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante

Day 7 here at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event is done and dusted after five two-hour levels of play. The field that began the day was 57 players strong. When play ended for the night, just 22 of them remained. Heading the pack into Day 8 will be Anton Makievskyi with 21.045 million in chips.

Makievskyi earned the chip lead thanks to a massive 20MM-chip pot with Christopher Moore. Makievskyi flopped a full house to Moore's trips before the two began raising back and forth to get all of the money in. When the hand ended, Makievskyi's boat held strong and he was the 20-million-dollar man. Moore stayed tough and battled through to the end of the day even despite the huge blow he took. He'll be returning for Day 8 with 3.04 million.

On the day, plenty of firepower hit the rail. We lost JP Kelly, Tony Hachem, Andrew Brokos and Sebastian Ruthenberg, the poker couple of David "Doc" Sands and Erika Moutinho, Erick Lindgren and Steve Brecher. EVen though that's a pretty stout list of competitors to hit the rail, the talent still alive is robust. Coming back for Day 8 -- the final day of the summer -- will be Ben Lamb, Lars Bonding, Bryan Devonshire and Phil Colliins to name a few. Also returning is WSOP Circuit National Championship winner Sam Barnhart.

Really fancy Eoghan Odea to go all the way now.
Watched the Poker Million religiously when he came 2nd and he was most impressive. Totally unflappable and subtly plays on the great image he has built up.
Best of British to Sam Holden too, what a run.

Does anyone know of any bookie pricing it up?
